The hotel itself is very nice, swanky, hip, or whatever you want to call it. Very well decorated, and pretty clean throughout. Only a block off Hollywood Blvd, and a short walk to all the stuff you may want to do in Hollywood. The rooms are incredibly spacious, have a huge patio with seating, nearly a full kitchen, and very comfortable beds. Floor to ceiling windows. The shower was pretty nice too. It'd be a good set-up for a pre/after bar party. The bar in the hotel was nice, and the attached outdoor seating area looked relaxing. It was for the most part what you'd expect out of a hotel at this price point in this part of the world.
The reception desk is on the second floor, and not right when you walk in. The desk right when you walk in is for the attached restaurant. Odd.
Other things to note:
• They charge for internet. Maybe they're stuck in 2004.
• The refrigerator in the room is nearly useless as it's packed with overpriced "amenities". Likewise, they also have a full bar in the room and a basket of snacks for purchase.
• Half the hotel shares an alley with an electronic night club. Bring ear plugs if you can't sleep with undulating bass late into the night if you're on that side of the hotel.
• The couch in the room was pretty grody, with all sorts of stains from I don't want to know what. Odd because the rest of the room was essentially spotless.
