We don’t want you to stay here if you’re not happy. We responded by returning your money and supporting you in leaving. It’s not been a problem before, and everyone is different. It’s our intention to make the Beach bungalow as comfortable as possible for as many people. We did a deep clean of the bathroom, and provided a new HEPA filtering unit to ensure freshness. The internet is presently operating at 70 M. sorry you had issues with it.

Linda, her husband, and a relative from out of the country and her daughter were guests in the Beach Bungalow. Linda made the request of getting address four days early. That is no problem, provided the documentation requested is provided. The listing clearly states that all guests are required to provide a US drivers license or passport in order to stay the Beach bungalow. We do this because the Beach bungalow is near our home and we want to know who’s staying there. I texted several times over several days asking for their IDs. Linda did send pictures of themselves through the app. But no identification came through. she said she was not able to send her ID through the app. I told her texting or email we’re fine. I called vrbo twice and asked for help getting the identification from them. Then, finally, Linda emailed her ID to me. I immediately sent them details for check-in. Soon after I did that, I received a message on my telephone voicemail. It was Linda on voicemail, yelling a loud angry voice. She said a lot of things, including a threat - if she did not get the information to check in, she now had the address and would to kick the door down to enter. We were not off to a good start. It’s never OK to yell, threaten, or damage the property. I was not comfortable with them staying in the Beach bungalow at that point, I would’ve preferred if they didn’t come. I sent Linda a text inviting them to cancel the reservation. If they did, I would reimburse any money collected. I was also clear that if they decided to come, they need to treat me and my property respectfully. In any case, I want all my guests in the Beach bungalow to have a good time and do my best to help that happen. (Generally my guests are kind, considerate, and happy to be here, so it’s not been a problem in fortunately. I am grateful.) She did not want to cancel and requested an early check-in. She told me she expected to arrive around 3 PM. I texted her early in that morning, on the checkin day, letting her know the space was available early and provided the key code again. I invited them to check in as early as they would like to. About 2:15 in the afternoon, the phone rings. It was Linda. She tells me they are here early and want to get in. Can I give them access? Apparently she did not get the messages sent a couple of times with the check-in information. It turns out I was at home. I personally attended to their check in. Linda asked me to communicate with her on her cell phone rather than the app. I complied and copied everything to the app as well so we’d have a thread that could be traced. I noticed, based on our conversations when we saw each other, she was still not getting my texts. And soon noticed I was being contacted from a yet a different phone number when they needed something - through telephone as well as text. As a result, I sent all texts to the app and both phone numbers to make sure communication would flow. I have no confidence that they received the many texts I sent in reply to her frequent requests. this is based on our dialogue’s when we saw each other coming and going. This was not an ideal stay. Having said that, mistakes happen, even with the best of intentions. I trust that the intentions were good. I wish Linda, Frank, and the family well - good health, ease, comfort, and joy.
