I cant say i have ever been more disappointed with a transaction or a company as a whole. Where should I begin? No Front Desk staff, when i arrived I was told to call someone to check in. I felt like I was a baited and switched. They call it "Brimmfield Stay" but it was just somones home they attempted to convert to a hotel with "rooms". While i entered the home this asian lady that spoke very little english said to call the number to check in. I called after several tries and once i did call a man told me to check my email for a confirmation which I never received, i even double checked my junk and spam folder to no avail. He then requested i said a photo of my identification which i sent and after 20 minutes +never heard a response from him despite checking in at the designated timeframe. I was exhausted at this point but while inside this home a domestic dispute was occuring and a male and female were assaulting each other. I wanted to call the police but I decided to just leave before I personally was in harms way. I texted the Brimmfield Stay number to let them know i cancel because of everything leading up to that point. I called Expedia letting them know that I never was able to check in and of the assault in progress and they told me there was nothing i could do. I let them know that i had purchased insurance which would allow me to cancel the reservation at no charge which they did not oblige. ##### Andreas Séjour de 1 nuit en février 2026 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Jennifer 8 févr. 2026 Points forts : Propreté, commodités et état et installations de l’hébergement. The shower was heavenly, and my room was clean/comfy/very safe. The location was also pretty great. However - the parking situation was awful. I knew that the spaces on the property would be limited but I did not know that there was street cleaning 2am-6am every night. I ended up parking 12min away via walking, which was not ideal coming in late and being very tired. This is a mixed dormitory stay which actually wasn’t my issue with the property. It was very secure, each room has door codes. I didn’t expect the room I booked it to be a capsule hotel but I didn’t mind that part. It would be difficult to stay in for light sleepers because of the thin walls. The kitchen and bathrooms are communal but kept very clean. The issue that came up with my stay occurred the morning I left, or tried to leave. If you decide to park in the driveway beware that other guests may be inconsiderate and block you in. The car that blocked me in left a number. I tried to contact the guest who was parked in front of me but they wouldn’t answer then I contacted the owner of the property to help get the car to move but they were also unable to get in contact with them nor were they able to contact the onsite housekeeping staff to have them get through the door codes to contact the guest directly. It took an hour and a half to finally reach the guest to move their car out from blocking mine in. By then I was already late for work and had to take an uber. The worst part was that throughout the entire fiasco the owner had terrible customer service, they even refused to compensate my stay or ubers. I had to contact the guest directly to ask they pay for the ubers I had to take, which thankfully they did. The owners of the property took absolutely no accountability and were obsessed with their reviews rather than the happiness of their guests. If you are used to staying at Hostels then this might be good for you. But if you’re looking for comfort then keep in mind that the pods are small. But you have privacy. Something that you don’t usually have on shared rooms. I was able to touch the ceiling while I was laying down. I am 6ft and the mattress was enough for me. Comfortable btw. The thing is you listen everyone when they open the door or while they’re trying to climb the ladder to get to their pod. The weekend days I didn’t sleep well but it’s a good deal for the price. If you are thinking to stay here you should have a car. Sometimes the parking gets crowded but I was always able to fit my car in a spot. So if you’re lucky that would not be a problem. I picked Brimfield because I wanted to go to the desert, mountains and the city so the location was central. But if you only want to stay in the city I do not recommend it. You’ll loose time driving and the traffic during the peak hours is a headache. Not a bad place, not the best. But now that I’m getting closer to 30’s 😅 probably hostels are not my thing. Okay so I thought the interior design was very cool, but the floors were very dirty in our room. I could tell the rug hadn’t been vacuumed, and the room hadn’t been swept or mopped. There were like noticeable spots on the floor. Also there’s no individual A/C units in the rooms and no TV. We needed to open the window because it was hot but there was no screen to keep bugs out and that’s not very secure. When I asked if I could get a broom and mop to clean the room myself, I was told there are no cleaning tools available to us and they would tell the staff to take care of it that day. And no one came, which is a little sketchy like not sure if there isn’t actually staff or they just didn’t tell the staff. Also, the bigger bathroom with multiple toilets and showers was completely taped off while I was there and that made it a little difficult sharing two bathrooms amongst seven rooms. Overall, I’d say if you want a cheap, stylish place to stay where you have shared amenities, choose this place. If you want a spotless place with TV and A/C, this is not the place for you. ##### Kerri Séjour de 3 nuits en octobre 2025 ### 6/10 – Acceptable #### Natasha 13 oct. 2025 Points forts : Propreté Pretty solid hostel! We had a private queen room, and honestly it was just missing some basics like hangers, a full length mirror, and trash bin in room. Ideally, the pillows could be thicker—we were given two pancake pillows, so it was not great for us as side sleepers. Noise and cleanliness were good overall—no issues there. Parking is like a puzzle—depends on how everyone else parks! The shared bathroom in our wing was ok—just needed some repairs (i.e. the shoddy bath shelf and towel rack). Seems like the toilet water is recycled, so there is a smell that comes with that—I guess they could use some deodorizing plug ins or something to balance it out?
