Located in the downtown historic district, the townhouse was built in 1860 by one of the co-founders of Jefferson, Daniel Alley. The windows and front doors of the home are original and were imported from France during the New Orleans trade era; the home also features original cypress floors and 14 foot ceilings. The Townhouse is a Texas Historical Marker and in the National Registry of Historic Places. The bright and airy home has an updated open living room and kitchen with modern updated bathrooms. There are two large bedrooms with king beds, and one with a large en suite master bath providing enough privacy for multiple families to stay in the home. The sitting room has a queen pull out sofa bed as well. All rentable space of the home is on the GROUND FLOOR. There is an upstairs to the home but it is closed off to guests and used for storage only. We also visited one of the drive thru animal parks and had a great time there. And best of all, we enjoyed relaxing off and on and in the evenings at this lovely home.
