Summary: Charming 3 bed home with large outdoor space and free parking, located on Briton Crescent, a lovely tree lined road in the heart of Sanderstead. The home lies in between Purley Downs Golf Club and Sanderstead Recreation Ground and Pond. Sanderstead Train Station is within walking distance to the home with direct links to London Victoria in under 25 minutes. The lounge/diner is fully stocked with a smart tv, WiFi, a dining table. Fully equipped kitchen with view to a generously sized back garden. The Neighborhood: There are beautiful parks, a nature reserve and golf course within walking distance of the house. Fairfield Halls Theatre, Box Park and South End Restaurants, can all be accessed easily by bus. George Street Market and a new Saturday Street market in Purley can also be reached by bus. For countryside treats, Hever Castle and Chiddingstone castle are a short drive away as are the picturesque Caterham and Happy Valleys. So you have all the delights of London and the Countryside right at your doorstep! Sanderstead pond is very much a local landmark, boasting lovely views towards the beautiful Grade I listed All Saints' Church, dating back to the 13th Century. There is a variety of local shops, most of which can be found at Elmfield Way Shopping Parade. We love popping into Coco & Nut Coffee Co, a locally owned coffee shop offering a selection of organic tea, coffee and a delicious variety of vegan and gluten free cakes and pastries. Getting Around: Sanderstead remains a village full of green open spaces, sitting on the beautiful North Surrey Downs, yet retaining the added convenience of having enviable transport links to both London and Gatwick via East Croydon, which is just 6 miles away. Sanderstead is an established commuter town, served by the B269 which connects to the main A22 & A23, which in turn joins the M23 and M25 at Junction 6\. Mainline railway connections are operated by both Southern and Thameslink services with typical commute times of a little over 22 minutes into London Victoria or London Bridge. Riddlesdown 0.7 miles Sanderstead 0.7 miles Purley Oaks 0.8 miles Purley 1.1 miles Other Things to Note: Local transport includes 4 train stations with 2 a 15 min walk away (Sanderstead and Purley Oaks). 25 min to London Victoria and London Bridge. Bus 403 with a 15 min ride to East Croydon station and the Tram which goes to Wimbledon (for Wimbledon Tennis fans). Enjoy being close enough to get to the city centre but also get out for some peace and quiet. Guests love the serene surroundings, ample parking space, available restaurants and shops within walking distance and a bus service very close to the house. The property is a 3min walk to the bus 359 which goes to Purley (including Purley Train Station)and a 5min walk to the bus 403 which goes to both Sanderstead and East Croydon train stations. So very easy to get in and out of the city and enjoy both.
