We stayed here for 3 nights in the basic economy room. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The staff allowed luggage drop off early as our flight landed at 8am. We were able to check in early 2:30pm, but got charged 5 euro for it.. when check in was 3:00pm. Walkable to many pubs and tube stations. Rooms are very small with little walkable room in the room. Washroom was very small (toilet in the shower). Bed was comfortable, hard pillows. Very loud as you hear people climbing up and down the stairs, no elevator and stairs are very narrow. Overall 4/10

Didn’t pay a substantial amount but expected the basics to be clean. Found bodily hair in the twin beds on bed covers and bedsheets and had to go and complain. Disgusting. Staff passed it off as hair from washing. What does that even mean?? Pubic hair. Gross. Do not stay here. Filthy. I sat in the room and watched the guy begrudgingly change them.

Decent budget hotel in a nice area of London, good value for money. The bed was comfy and they let me leave my luggage in the lobby for free. They allowed me to check in early but charged me £5 per hour for this, which I wasn't used to. I was satisfied overall, would return.

Renting the flat for the week was great. Good location that is easily walkable to shops, Victoria station, Buckingham Palace and the Tate Britain museum. There are many stairs in the flat, and they are quite narrow, but it was worth it for us.

I can't believe that Expedia would even suggest this place. The pictures we saw on the site were wrong. The place smells, the bathroom was so small that you bumped yourself on the toilet paper holder. There was no soap dish in the shower and the shower was falling apart. The lights on the wall were hanging by their wires. The carpet was filthy. I messaged Expedia because I wanted to leave this dirt hole but I was told that they needed to contact the owner to see if they would refund my money and then was told there is no guarantee. Obviously no one is checking these places. I showed the girl at the desk the pictures and she said they are not responsible for the pictures Expedia used . This hotel shouldn't be allowed to rent rooms. EVER!!!

I must commend the staff at the reception for their willingness to accommodate my room change request. However, I was disappointed to find that the replacement room had broken locks, which was concerning for security. I have serious concerns regarding the sanitary conditions in the bathroom. The layout, with the bath positioned under a short wall without an alternative shower, made it difficult to shower comfortably. Furthermore, the presence of short black curly hair all over the bath was quite off-putting. The toilet was also dirty, covered in urine, and emitted an unpleasant odor.On the positive side, the bed was clean and comfortable, but there were notable shortcomings in the room amenities. There were no hangers, mirrors, or adequate storage space for belongings. The room only featured a tiny shelf with a kettle and tea supplies. I had to improvise by using the window handle for hanging my coat and a bra for my clothes. The lack of access to the Wi-Fi password was inconvenient, as it was not provided in the room or available in the corridor. Despite my request for the password via message, I did not receive a response. Additionally, the rooms' location in the underground part of the building, with no external windows, was not ideal. The single small window between the room and the corridor was appreciated, as it provided ventilation and prevented me from having to sleep on my coat or leave it simply on the floor.

The fact that this property is located right near Victoria station was a bonus not to mention everything at your fingertips from the west end my guideline to find Chester House was the Wicked theater! Would definitely stay there again

You get what you pay for.
I wasn’t expecting wonders given I ordered the cheapest room I could find, but the window was broken, the light outside shone in through it all night and there was no blind/curtain and the outside light wouldn’t turn off. The room stink of sweaty university accommodation. The lamps in the room didn’t work and the place was so dusty my asthma has been had me in coughing fits ever since. That said, it’s very central and very cheap. So I half knew what I may let myself in for. Probably would stay again if I needed somewhere central and cheap.

Location was great. Easy access to train station. Lots of sightseeing in walking distance. But: This was the smallest room I ever had. The carry-ons need to be put on the bed so you could walk around it and get to the bathroom. Of course, at night you had to put the luggage on the floor which made it difficult to access anything. No room to put anything down. Window could not be locked, it was basically open all the time. Management said to not worry since it leads to a closed courtyard. The bathroom was the size of a postage stamp. When you sat on the toilet, the shower curtain was touching you. The shower was so small that the curtain was hugging you constantly. And it was terribly moldy. Never again.

Paint on the wall was peeling off. Paint on the carpet where the carpet was touching the wall. No place to hang the towel in the bathroom. No place for your soap or shampoo in the shower area. You have to leave it down the lower part of the shower stall. I was worried that we might be inhaling asbestos during our stay. Renovation was going on. This is not what I expect from an Expedia approved hotel. I have pictures that I took if you need it.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The proximity to so many great attractions outstanding, so much in a walkable distance. Conveniently located with a great selection of restaurants and supermarkets. Room a bit small for a family with younger kids who like to move about and play but so many great aspects to the property outweighs this.

An OK stay in a beautiful property
Perfectly located for easy access to Westminster and many major tourist attractions. The hotel is situated on a quiet street near to bustling amenities. Beautiful building that just lacks a little bit of love. Check in was at 3, we arrived at 3:45, the receptionist went to check our room was ready and asked us to give another 10 minutes, which was ok. When we entered the room we found the cups were dirty and asked for them to be replaced. The room was a little dusty, there was a large mark up the mirror that looked liked someone had pressed against it whilst sweaty and the duvet cover was stained with foundation. Unfortunately attention to detail in the room lacked, which meant the shower looked as if it was coming away from the wall, and the shower door didn’t always stay closed. The bathroom was on the smaller side and needed to fold in to get onto the toilet. That said, the room was comfortable and well equipped, the staff were friendly and we did have an enjoyable stay

Hotel is in a great location but the walls are very thin and you're often woke by people speaking loudly in the mornings and only 1 shared bathroom for all paying people in the whole hotel? Very unusual

The entrance to the reception was untidy as well as behind the desk. The receptionist greeted us with a friendly smile. The room was small but clean and had all the fecilities needed. There was no air-conditioning but ther was a free standing fan. The bathroom was also small but very clean and well equiped.

Very disorganised with checking in, once we were in we had to chase staff for things that were missing.the hotel needs updating as all the walls are marked and the wood is chipped. TV in the room also didn't work properly.

Great location in central London, close to Buckingham Palace, Westminster and Victoria Station. However, the maintenance of our room left much to be desired. The light over our bathroom mirror did not work. Several other electrical outlets were not working. There were no hooks or racks to hang our towels. With a bit of work and imagination, our room would be in much better condition, expecially given the price we paid.

Had to leave after the first night - I was put into the basement and literally no air movement. Felt claustrophobic and couldn’t sleep there. There was a terrible smell and after moving to a different hotel I could smell the stench out of my clothes in the suitcase. Cost me a fortune to get everything washed and dry cleaned. Even my socks!

It was almost 9k. Room was too small that after bed, therexwas barely any space. Bathroom was even more smaller. It was a basement unit, way expensive for the money.

Close to everything walkable, but not happy with room, was smelly , if you stay more than two days you will get sick. Moist and window open in inside Cory door, no fresh air, i won’t recommend.
