The best area to stay in Lokvičići is the village centre, particularly around the main square and the area near the Blue and Red Lakes.

The village centre is the heart of Lokvičići, offering a convenient base for exploring. You'll find local shops, traditional tavernas, and easy access to the main attractions. The streets are generally quiet and easy to navigate on foot.

For families, staying near the Blue and Red Lakes offers an excellent experience. The Blue Lake is great for swimming and sunbathing during the warmer months, with shallow areas suitable for children. The Red Lake, while not for swimming, is a spectacular natural landmark that's easily accessible for a short walk and offers stunning views. Many accommodations in this area are traditional stone houses with gardens, providing a relaxed setting.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will appreciate the options slightly outside the immediate village centre, offering more secluded villas and guesthouses.

The best time to go to Lokvičići is during the shoulder seasons of May, June, September, and early October.

These months offer pleasant weather, with warm temperatures superb for outdoor activities without the intense heat and larger crowds of the peak summer months. You'll find the natural beauty of the area, like the Red and Blue Lakes, particularly inviting during these times.

For those looking for a quieter holiday and better value on accommodation, travelling in May or September is ideal. The weather is still lovely, but the summer rush has either not yet begun or has started to wind down, leading to a more relaxed experience. It's a great time for couples to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and local cuisine.

July and August are also popular, offering the warmest weather, which is superb for swimming in the nearby Adriatic Sea if you plan day trips to the coast.
