"The hotel is a very nice, old fashioned building. Fantastic location facing the Abbey. The staff were polite and helpful. The breakfasts were good. The atmosphere was lively, with lots of places to sit, have a drink and relax. The only slight downside was car parking charges, which had not been made clear when booking. However, compared to other car parks etc., the price was reasonable."

"Absolutely beautiful hotel, gorgeous rooms and lovely helpful staff. The grounds are so pretty and peaceful. We ate in the bar and grill and the meal and service were perfect, as was the breakfast the next morning, even my other half said the Eggs Benedict was the best he’d ever had. We stayed here for one night due to its proximity to the North Yorkshire Moors but after such a wonderful stay we are already trying to figure out when we can come and visit again. Genuinely I have nothing bad to say, this is a real gem!"

"Lovely stay - fast check in, great lunch in the restaurant and an even better breakfast was had. We got a b&b deal through Expedia which included a full continental breakfast for starters and then a hot meal. I had eggs Benedict and my husband had the full English. Very nice setting and outlook. Only downside is that the room gets very hot - had to use the fan all night. And then there were some noisy occupants above us who decided to put tv on around 2am!!"
