« Great stay in a lovely hotel. The owner was charming, friendly and fun and gave an excellent display of first class customer service. The food in the restaurant was excellent. We left too early for breakfast so they made up packed breakfasts for us too. Some of the alcoholic drinks in the mini bar are free too! Bed was comfortable and the facilities were clean, tidy, modern and well kept. Parking right outside too. »

« Très bien pour une étape dans la région. Nous avions une grande chambre familiale avec un lit double et 2 lits simples sous les toits. Chambre propre, salle de bain correct. Thé/café et petits gâteaux offerts. Nous avons dîné au restaurant de l'hôtel, les plats sont typiques et bons. Petit déjeuner complet à la carte et en self service. Personnel très aimable. Petit parking, il n'y avait plus de places quand nous sommes arrivés et c'est difficile de se garer dans la ville. »

« Du charme. Bien place pour rayonner dans les Costwolds avec une voiture. Dans ces conditions le rapport qualite/prix est excellent. »

« Convenient location in the Cotswolds and able to take a group of five friends in two rooms. Character-filled old and quirky inn. It was a heat wave while we were there but the rooms were quite comfortable with cross breezes and electric fans. The restaurant was hot though, so we opted for the pub in Barrington beside the river instead. Everything was clean and the staff were lovely. It’s a bit noisy beside the road, but not too bad. We were able to trickle charge our car overnight as well. »

« Welcome was lovely, room was really pretty with nice touches, pretty noisy though, you'll be lucky to get a solid nights sleep. Breakfast wasnt great either sadly. Overall though it was a lovely, pretty, welcoming hotel for a single night stay. »

« Everything good. Only minor issues were the shower had no hooks or shelves to put shampoo or shower gel or flanels/scrubbing. And the cooling fan in our room was super noisy, so couldn't be used. As I say, minor. »

« We had an amazing stay, gorgeous shepherds huts in a lovely location. So nice to have the pub nearby! We stayed during the heatwave and our hut was particularly hot, the staff were so nice to prepare another more shaded hut for us for our second night, we really appreciated the gesture! Highly recommend! »

« Très forte odeur de javel en rentrant dans la chambre. Sûrement expliquée par les nombreuses moisissures de la chambre et de la salle de bain - pour cacher l’odeur. Beaucoup de bruit émanant des autres chambres attenantes et du dessus A également fait une copie de mon passeport sans motif légitime »

« Hôtel agréable et accueillant. Jolie chambre (papier peint, décoration…). Un jardin avec des transats pour se reposer après la marche. Personnel aimable. »

« We had the very special suite - room #1 and it was incredible. So much room - a real home away from home. Being such an old place - the features are stunning. 😍 Stow on the Wold is adorable and this place is simply the best. We loved our stay! »

« We were in the king room way upstairs tiny stairs that a person my age should not be climbing. The bed was uncomfortable. We were there during the heat wave and had to depart a day early due to lack of AC and ventilation. Location was good and staff was friendly. Front desk not manned at all times. Hard to get service. Still have not received email with receipt from property. Not much choice in this area of hotels, just don’t book upstairs rooms! »
