The staff were very helpful and informative throughout. The room was very good except for lack of heating in the lounge area and the towel rail in the bathroom was never working. But the rooms were in good condition and kept clean and well serviced etc. We only had 1 evening meal but they were excellently cooked and good choices for all and as previous the staff were very good. I would describe the carpeting in the lobby and the bedrooms as shabby. The hotel was experiencing a problem with the Plumbing while we were there so that there was no water. The situation was fixed by the time we left. The restaurant and bar are fine if you are a dog lover. There were lots of dogs, especially in the bar. Bar and restaurant service was slow, perhaps due to being short staffed. Biggest problem was lack of water pressure in all 3 of our rooms. Toilets barely flushed, and bathing was impossible. We were assured several times that a solution was “imminent,” but nothing was done.
