I cannot recommend Kumbali Country Lodge enough! From the moment I arrived, I felt like I had stepped into a peaceful garden sanctuary. Peaceful oasis, friendly staff, excellent housekeeping and close to many nice restaurants.

Staff were very accommodating. Meals were delicious and they were prepared for power outages and other disruptions that North American guests would not be ready for. They had a back up generator and propane stoves for cooking during those times. It was safe and quiet. We had a good stay there - well done Divine bed and B!

The rooms were big with a large bathroom and shower. Two beds pushed together to make one large bed. Bed was very comfortable. Linen was very comfortable as well. Each room has its own dedicated wifi which is the best I ever had in Lilongwe. Loved the monkeys that seem to have the run of the place at times. Makes for a great show. Hotel was clean and in good condition, and staff were very friendly. Hotel is located a considerable distance from main commercial areas so taking a taxi to go anywhere is effectively necessary.

I had booked 2 rooms and both got upgraded to a suite, and not just a normal suite, a huge, luxurious suite. The whole complex is super modern, beautiful, very well maintained and spotless. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Easy check in and out. Most certainly 5 star quality.

It’s a very nice spot and the restaurant is good. Staff are excellent. It’s hard to be in a compound though. It would be nice if there had been a pool.

It’s near everything you need for a one or two night stay. It is an older place and could use some updating. Poor WiFi and poor air conditioner. I asked to be moved from the first room and the second wasn’t much better. What keeps me coming back is the location, the staff and the food. Especially the breakfast which is worth every penny.
