Deer Ridge Lodge is an inviting 16-acre wooded estate nestled between a large pond, nature, and a scenic secluded setting! The perfect environment for the group retreat you deserve- whether big or small! Enjoy our seasonal (Memorial Day-Labor Day) in-ground outdoor pool, hot tub, outdoor games, theater room or visit nearby hikes and attractions! Catch and release outdoor pond, please do not attempt to catch the koi fish! Our Lodge is the luxury space you're looking for with private sleeping accommodations and entertainment for up to 26 guests! Must be 25 years or older to rent. AWD/4WD recommended in all seasons.

We enjoyed our stay here immensely. Not everything was perfect as it’s an older property, but it was great for our stay. Nice setting and great amenities! We loved the wood burning fireplace and all the different gathering areas! We had a little hiccup with no water on Friday night/Sat morning, but we got it figured out and they gave us a discount and free late checkout for our troubles. One of the 4 showers was not operational (no hot water handle), and they put in a maintenance request to fix it, but we told them it could wait until after the weekend.

The spaces were great. Lots of room to spread out as a family. Large kitchen with lots of dishes, pots, pans, etc. Good variety of beds and sleeping areas. There were no kitchen dishrags or towels. Pool was fantastic. Beautiful setting, but a bit overgrown. Interior was dirtier than expected. Sticky floors, dirty corners, some dirty dishes. One queen bed in jack/jill on the main was terrible. Turns out it's a pillow-top mattress that was turned over and held up by blocks of wood. Toilet in master needed support because it wobbled badly. With some deep cleaning and some minor repairs, including some faucet repairs, this could be a 5-star place all around.

some things need to be updated or fixed, the walkway up to the house the bricks are loose and several of us almost fell. the dining room table was not big enough for the amount of people that stayed which was 20 and the house slept 26. Smoke alarm went off early one morning so we had to take it down to try to figure out how to shut it off. The 2 lamps at the pool were not working so it really wasn't convenient to swim after dusk. We felt the lawn and shrubs were over grown.

The house was as described. Kitchen well stocked. Lots of places to hang out and play games. Woods was beautiful this fall (2024). Fishing at the lake was very good. Hot tub was nice. Our family really enjoyed all the things to do. What stood apart - what makes it a 5 rating for me was the service I got from Brandon.. he was more than helpful in so many ways. He BROUGHT us bait, answered a question nearly immediately. He asked multiple times if we were ok, needed anything. This is very rare for service. Lastly, my granddaughter left a necklace- he went and looked for it and found it. What a good guy he was. Thank you....

Very nice reunion trip!

Stayed with decades-old group of college friends for annual reunion and had a great stay. Host even offered to drop off supplies from town for us! Loved the wooded property and pool :)

Family time

The property worked well for 18 of us for four+ days. There was plenty of room to spread out and we were able to be inside or outside. Brandon was very responsive to any issue we had and got back to me right away. Some people thought the property could have been cleaner. I agree but I also think it must be very hard to keep a place of this size super clean when the turnaround time is so limited and so many people use the place. It's certainly possible that my standards are lower than others in the group. The pool was wonderful for us given that it is shallow - maybe 3 1/2' deep. The lining will need to be replaced soon and I am sure that it is a major expense. We wanted to be together and we got to be together in a lovely place with two grills, two stoves, two big refrigerators, and lots of room for everyone. Thank you.

Perfect for large family gatherings

We have an annual family weekend (18 of us!) and this property was perfect! The pool was a big hit and just right for all the kids (ages 4-16), as well as adults. The house was spacious with multiple living areas to hang out but not be on top of each other. The kitchen had everything you could need. I think it's be best stocked kitchen we've seen. The karaoke machine was really fun for the kids. Besides the pool, there was lots of outdoor space. We enjoyed the picnic pavilion, volleyball area and fire pit - perfect for smores. We also enjoyed hiking in the area, local pizza and ice cream. Highly recommend!

Hocking Hills Vacation

21 of us .Lots of rooms and spacious kitchen.Pool Needs some help. Liner was loose. No rail to get up to the pool. My wife is on a walker and I am going in for knee surgery so a rail would have helped a lot .Tim Connors

Family fun

We had a blast. It was in the 90’s the whole time we were there so we got a lot of use out of the pool and on the patio! Caught a few nice size fish too! The hammock was amazing. We also enjoyed a family friendly game of volleyball on the hill! All the rooms were good sized! Lots of places to hang out! No complaints! We all had a great vacation!

Annual family trip

The house is in a secluded area. They weren't ready for us because of a mix up but the beds were made and though things weren't sparkling they weren't gross either. The place was homey and everything that was brought to the managers attention was addressed. We're an active bunch and appreciated all there was to do.

Great Weekend with Friends

This house was great and a perfect setup for a weekend retreat with friends. Really beautiful property and tons of space. We enjoyed the views of the pond and surrounding forest, it was really peaceful. Some of the outdoor areas and outdoor furniture like the side patio were pretty dirty, but there were many other hang out areas for all of us so it wasn’t a big deal. All in all in was a great stay.

Perfect!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Deer Ridge! All my cousins and their children came together for 2 nights and we could not have asked for a better place. Plenty of room for everybody, and plenty of things to do. Just exploring the property could take a day! We all decided that WHEN we come back, we'll stay for 3 nights, not 2! Owners thought of everything; so many details that I've not seen at other places we've rented. All very thoughtful and appreciated! Can not recommend this place enough!!

Wonderful family weekend

Our family of 16 had a wonderful weekend at Deer ridge. We loved the side porch and spent alot of time sitting there catching up. We fished and raced rc boats in the pond. We played volleyball and had a campfire. We made huge meals and were very thankful for the 2 ranges. We were disappointed that the foosball table wasnt there as it was listed and shown in pictures. Also the basement could use a thorough cleaning. We had a dirty sheet issue during our stay and Brandon was quick to respond and replaced the sheets. All in all we had a fantastic weekend and would definitely stay here again. Thank you for hosting our family!
