I was looking for a functional place to stay near an event I was going to, not an elaborate hotel nor a luxury weekend, but sheesh! The overwhelming smell of smoke permeates every part of the lobby, casino, hallways, and even our room- something that Ive never experienced at a Vegas hotel. A rainstorm had moved through just before we got to the hotel and the roof inside the check-in area was leaking severely all over the tile floor. Judging by the state of the ceiling and wall, the leak was not new. After the self-check-in computer completely failed to read the reservation barcode on my phone we got in line for counter check in. 15 minutes into our wait in line, one of the tellers began to check in people that hadnt even waited in line. Finally got checked in with no further complaint. The room itself seemed fairly clean, but the underside of the toilet seat (yes, Im a guy) was filthy. The A/C unit in the room sounded like a small cement mixer and barely worked at all. I set the A/C to 62 and to run continuously, and seriously doubt it ever got under 76 degrees in that room! My Girlfriend said it was too hot to sleep and she is ALWAYS cold!! Fortunately it wasnt summer time or even very warm outside! I had stayed here decades ago while working a project nearby for two weeks and it had been completely decent. It seems like they arent spending enough to maintain this place.

Really like staying at this hotel this was my second time staying here and really felt comfortable rooms nicely clean only wish they had a place in the hotel where you can warm up leftover food that will really be convenient

First off when we checked in the gentleman checking us in was not friendly. He barely said one word to us. Our room was HOT our entire stay. It smelled of weed and cigarettes. The entire facility smelled of weed and cigarettes. We visited other casinos that had a slight smell of both but not so bad that I coughed the entire time we were in the facility. Parking was outrageous and the attendants were rude. There were people hounding us every time we walked in and out to the parking garage asking if we wanted “free” show tickets. We will not come back. I may never come back to Vegas after this experience.

Definitely a nice hotel, so clean and comfortable. My room was so clean and the bed was so cozy. Honestly a i was impressed with the price and a little bit scared cause I saw a lot of negative reviews but in my experience everything was fine. Pool, the views from the towers, security guards around, some places to eat in the hotel and a lot of activities to do in the same place. The only thing is if you are planning to walk from this hotel to the strip is so far. But it is easy take the monorail at the sahara hotel and go to the strip, you have to walk 2 blocks.

I was told by front desk the pool was open, and when I got there it was closed for a private event. Room was dirty, floors were not vacuumed and the noise and marijuana smoke was CONSTANT! You couldn’t pay me to stay here again!

My recent stay at STRAT was deeply disappointing. Upon check-in, we were given a windowless room without prior notice. Despite my father's health issues, the staff refused to accommodate us or offer an upgrade. They even denied a refund when I offered to cancel the reservation. Expedia was of no help either. We were forced to move to another hotel, resulting in both inconvenience and financial loss. I strongly advise against staying at STRAT in the future.

This was what I expected for the money. We had one of the renovated tower rooms and it was fine. Nothing fancy at all, but it was clean and did the trick. House keeping came by everyday and was friendly. The inside of the Casio has been renovated and updated. I read a lot of reviews before booking here and a lot of them were bad. I find the most inconvenient thing about staying here is the location being at the end of the strip for hotels. But for the price savings you can easily catch an Uber to mid strip and wander around.

At check in, I was told the hot water was out on our floor and they were unsure when it would be fixed. Which is fine we moved from the 19th floor to the 5th floor with no view. These were newly renovated rooms but the ac did not cool the room, the refrigerator barely cooled our beverages, and no microwave in the room. I would not stay here again always had to order rides to go places unless it was downtown there was a free shuttle for like 12 downtown stops. Those drivers were super friendly and good. It just wasn’t one of the best experiences I have had in Vegas. Front desk, concierge, and bell staff were also super friendly. I hate the timeshare people I come to relax and not be harassed as I walk to and from my room.

The strat was great for our first trip to Vegas! Next time I think we’d choose a more centrally located property because getting anywhere from the strat takes a long time, but this was a great affordable hotel!
