It is at best a 3 star hotel. Only stay if you get a cheap deal and don’t expect 5 star service or standards. The WiFi doesn’t work we had to use 5G We had to wake up the bar server twice, the first time Christmas songs were played (in March!!) and the second time it was silent and had absolutely no atmosphere. We paid extra for a riverside view to watch sunset, don’t bother - hoards to boats arrive outside the hotel and play Chinese karaoke, loudly - it certainly doesn’t make for a peaceful or romantic setting - I appreciate there is nothing the hotel can do about this. The rooms are very tired. Our flights flickered significantly when we turned on the water. They are also not that clean, there was significant dust on the headboard. There is construction work going on around the hotel that we were not told about upon booking. The pool is rented out to anyone for $6 inc beers, we didn’t use this but again doesn’t fit with an exclusive 5star feel. The speciality dining restaurant is shut. Staff service is haphazard, we had to have an argument with the ma on the gate who refused to let our taxi into the hotel and made us walk - again all very minor but not 5 star. We tried to check out quietly but was greeted by the Operations manager who wanted my feedback, which I provided, he agreed the hotel was not up to standard and agreed to email me, not unsurprisingly I haven’t received an email. Overall there are better same class hotel with better customer service, larger rooms and better overall value for your money."
