The clerk was not particularly personable or communicative. During the check-in process he claimed that my payment had been declined, even though I had paid for my room more than two weeks in advance and was able to prove this to him with the hotels.com receipt and the entry in my banking app for the transaction, and it took more than twenty minutes for him to be willing to give me my key card because there was a connection issue with something related to the computer/printer, even though I had explained to him I needed to quickly check in and then head to an event half an hour away that started in less than an hour and which would end after the check-in window closed.
