It was fantastic. We chose it partially based on proximity to Grey Monk and walked there for lunch. Two other wineries/restaurants are also walking distance. There’s a great beach area, that could probably also be walked to. There was a really really nice coffee/breakfast spot there, despite that it was vegan. The ice cream shop attached to that had fantastic fish and chips, but we liked their vegan fare too.
The rock stairs at the property could maybe be a little dicey for the elderly, but I didn’t have any trouble with them, even with my recently injured knee. There were 5 or 6 great places outside to sit and enjoy (maybe with some wine). They were outstanding considering the interesting landscape. We were delighted and encouraged to use the hot tub every night.
I won’t list all the little extras provided that greatly enhanced our stay, so as not to obligate them for future guests, but know that you will be well taken care of. They are very helpful and very timely with responding to questions.
