I had an extended layover. This hotel is very close to the airport. Though a bit noisy outside, accommodations were beautiful. The food was tasty, and the pool area was really nice as well. It’s a great selection for one or two nights. I wouldn’t recommend a longer day, simply due to the traffic noise. I was able to cope just from zoning out into the hum of my air conditioner. Of course, when you vacation, you don’t stay in the hotel room all day and traffic noise is lighter at night. So go out and enjoy! Joygate is an excellent choice. Hoping they have a property in Abuja as well.

Finally figured out how the hot water worked, breakfast wasn't too good. U can't take any food from the dining area. They watch your every move as if you're stealing. They're always looking for a tip. That's everywhere I went in Lagos, alot of begging. Overall I would give Joygate a 3/5, considering my standards, & expectations are much higher being from USA. (Not being arrogant). Front desk crew A+, and room cleaning staff A+, guy at front desk even printed some very helpful Delta info I needed for my return flight. Airport staff & organization is like a gang, 5 checkpoints, totally unorganized, people grabbing your bag without your consent, got me through the checkpoints, and I ended up tipping the gang $55! I was totally frustrated and angry when they finished begging! I also felt very threatened! No security around to stop these gangsters!

Great hotel for awesome price. Clean and workers were very helpful. I was able to get to wherever I want to with ease. Either with public transportation or chartered automobiles. I will be staying again next time I’m in Lagos.

Overall, a pleasant stay. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the start. The hotel’s location is very convenient, especially being so close to the airport. The bed was comfortable and the room was well maintained and clean. While it wasn’t anything extraordinary, it offered good value and a comfortable, hassle-free stay.
