Lacon Vacation Rentals

"We were in town for a wedding weekend. We had a total of 6 adults that stayed here. The wedding was at Countryside Banquet and Catering in Washington, IL. So the drive was simple and under 15 minutes from the Cottage on Columbus . We also enjoyed walking to the restaurants, ice cream at The Daily Scoop and Pour Brothers Craft Taproom as well as the local outstanding bakery, Trefzger’s. Known for scrumptious items but my fav are the thumb print cookies. This is a nice and safe neighborhood...

"I stayed in town to care for an ill friend in hospital. I thought I was staying on the lower level of the house. It was actually an upstairs apartment with outside access & steep stairs to take your luggage up. I was hoping the host would be flexible with my check-in and check-out since I was looking for accommodations to sleep during day and leave for hospital in early eve. each day, He was not. It would be an extra $20 for every hour if I wanted to stay later or check in earlier. I was...

"Great Place."

There was no mat inside the door to wipe our feet.-the floors were dirty—once a mop was provided, I mopped the...

"Charming, comfortable, clean and conveniently located. Responsive hosts. Great nearby restaurants and close to downtown Peoria (came in from Chicago for St. Jude Runs fundraising event). "

"Quiet Neighbourhood, 20 minute to 30 minute walk to coffee, shops and restaurants"

"Nice location"

"The cottage was inviting and very comfortable, especially the bed. "

"Was just looking for a small place to crash at night as every day was filled with scheduled events and this place was perfect for that, from check in to checking out everything went smooth. If I ever go back to Peoria this is the place I’m checking for availability first."

"The home was spotless, very nicely decorated, comfortable, great location and the communication from the host was excellent and very appreciated. Would definitely stay there again!"

"There was no heat and the fire alarm was chirping. We had to stay elsewhere."
