This is a quaint small hotel with breakfast included. The man checking us in was very polite and friendly. He advised us on parking (city parking nearby and at the port just a couple blocks away) and about restaurants and tourist opportunities. Our room was quiet and efficient with good bedding. Breakfast was complete continental and the same man who checked us in made sure we had a good breakfast including soft boiled eggs, cold cuts and plenty of breads. Parking was a bit anxious at first but getting to the port turned out to be a good choice. We would highly recommend this hotel. Note, there is no elevator.

The outside of the building is not appealing. The inside is first-class. Car parking for me is always an issue!! Site advertises car parking available but it is in public car parks that you may or not get parking! This is a general complaint applicable to a lot of sites.

Great location for exploring La Rochelle
Nice hotel, friendly staff and an excellent location for exploring La Rochelle. The app did state that parking was 'available' but this was actually in one of the local town car parks and not connected to the hotel. We stayed in a secure multi storey car park under one of the squares which was reasonably priced and only 5 minutes walk away from the hotel. Overall though we enjoyed our stay.

The Atlantic is located right in the middle of everything! We’re only sorry that we didn’t book it for an extended stay. We had an epicurean delight at the steak house across the street, and we’re able to do some awesome people watching on the street a block from here. 5 stars!

Good location but somewhat basic. Parking limited.
Very convenient location although parking quite limited - a convenient car park nearby but difficult to get a space as very popular. Lack of air con in the room was a disappointment as it was very hot. I’d stay again but avoid hot and busy periods.

The location of the hotel is great. Walking distance from the train station. It is an old hotel with a charm with updated bath room. Enjoyed the breakfast in the court yard. The staff was very kind.

Hotel was very close to the chain tower and old town. Staff were very friendly and polite The hotel room was on the small size but adequate to sleep in. Continental breakfast was good. The hotel had recently been decorated. Would recomend this hotel

The room was small. The air conditioning worked very poorly and the room did not cool off till late in the evening. Otherwise it was clean and breakfast was good (for an extra charge).

Lack of secure car parking at the hotel. We had bikes on the back and leaving these over night in a public car park and our car full of holiday gear for camping was not ideal.

Great location - good value.
A quiet street located close to the harbor and shopping streets. Clean rooms. Good service. Small compliant that the breakfast is a bit expensive and in La Rochelle not many options for early breakfast. The good price of the hotel offsets the breakfast price. Pay and free parking nearby but can be hard to find free spaces.

Fantastic hotel, helpful and friendly staff. My only negative was the noise from outside from fours window over night, but this is expected when stopping in a city centre.

Hotel Atlantic is a good hotel. I stayed for 4 nights at the beginning of June. Found out real quick that the hotel did not have air conditioning. I originally did not have a fan in the room, but asked the front desk and they furnished me with one. Also the let me use a voltage adapter for charging my phone, etc. The hotel is a few short blocks from the main drag where all the restaurants are located and if you walk the other way for a couple blocks you are in the other main area of town. Town was very pretty and the even had a firework display over the ocean on Saturday night.

Great value hotel in an excellent location.
Fantastic location really close to everything and in the old town. Very clean and a spacious room with opening windows. Nice and warm and light. It was nice to have a jug and hot drink making facilities. Spotlessly clean and recently renovated with quirky decor. Quiet at night as in a back street one block away from the restaurants. It was shoulder season but being a long weekend there were many people about but it was still quiet. Double closing windows.

Fabulous location and supet staff
Great location within a few metres of marina, hotel team were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is simple but really good and lots available. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting La Rochelle
