The house is located in the popular village of l’Houmeau in a very quiet cul de sac . The house has gained a 4 stars rating by the Charentes Tourism Board. It offers a large entrance with WC, a very large living/dining room (50 sqm2) with vaulted ceiling, a ceiling fan, TV, and with direct access to patio and swimming pool , a modern kitchen with breakfast bar and with direct access to patio and swimming pool and on the ground floor a double bedroom (king size bed) with direct access to pool and patio, as well , there is a shower room on the ground floor .
Upstairs has a double bedroom (king size bed) with sea view, another double bedroom (super king size bed) with sea view and a 3rd bedroom (king size bed) at the front of the house that has its own en suite shower and a sink.
All bedrooms have built in wardrobes. And the upstairs bedrooms have ceiling fans
There is a large bathroom that includes a bathtub, a separate shower and 2 sinks and there is a separate WC on the landing.
There is a further small bedroom (double bed) in a small loft conversion above the garage with its own shower, sink and WC
The WiFi is accessible in all rooms in the house.
The garden is private and not overlooked, has a very large patio with a 10 x 5 m swimming pool with a retractable solar dome and is saline and backs onto a field with an uninterrupted sea view.
There is garden furniture (table, chairs and sun loungers) as well as a BBQ (large plancha)
The house is located at approximately 300 m from the local beach with lifeguards and toilet facilities that is accessible by a footpath from the house.
You can enjoy long walks or cycle rides along the coastline. There are restaurants along the coastline and a lovely picturesque local port. From the house and onto the coastline, you can join the île de Ré bridge 2 km ride approximately by bicycle and enjoy a lovely day out on to the island Ile de Ré
The La Rochelle/Île de Ré airport is only 5 minutes drive from the house.
La Rochelle town is 4,3 km away and is accessible by bicycle or hourly buses if you wish.
The centre of l’Houmeau is a 5 minutes walk from the house and has all the convenient shops, bakery, butcher, a small super market, news agent, a hairdressing salon, post office, a chemist shop, plus a market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.
L'Houmeau centre has a pizzeria and a restaurant.
L’Houmeau is 32 km away from Rochefort ,15 km from Châtelaillon-Plage , 34 km away from Fouras where you can catch a ferry to go onto the lovely Ile d'Aix, 80 km to l'Ile d'Oleron.
La Rochelle region has a lot to offer for holiday makers. You can try sailing, water sports, boat trips, cycling, playing golf, lovely beaches, spas the Aquarium etc....
