Like the cafe/bar in the basement. The 2 buildings across the street from each other makes it a bit inconvenient, for instance, to get to the kitchen from hostel room if they are located in different buildings. Otherwise, clean, nice, comfortable.

Beautiful hostel. Makes for a nice home base. Very central to a lot of shopping, but still on a quiet street. The train is close, so day excursions to tourist hotspots are extremely easy.

Great location in Kyoto in walking distance to lots of restaurants, shopping, temples, etc. Stayed in a private room which was clean and comfortable with everything you need. The kitchen and lobby area are really nice. Water pressure in the shower was excellent. Got a weird vibe from the staff, but they were nice enough. Would stay here again.

Great poperty near Nishiki Market and Kyoto Imperial Palace. 5-15 min walks to most subway and bus lines. Its very modern inside and had a jazz band playing downstairs when i checked in. Would def stay here again if i return.

Exceeded expectations!
A brilliant hostel, we booked a private room with an en en-suite which was a great size. The communal spaces and amenities are gorgeous and really convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Perfect location to explore Kyoto from too ☺️

Premium hostel
I got the double room, and it felt just like a nice hotel room. The installations are kept very clean, they provide slippers, towels, and pillows just outside the door if you need them. The downstairs area it's really nice. They sell lots of different drinks and some food too. It is very conveniently located by all the major shopping and dining areas in sanjo, but just far away enough that it isn't noisy at all.

Hostel that looks like a hotel
Brand new hostel. Very nice terrace. I stayed in a twin private room with ensuite, so it was like a hotel for me. Location is very good, lots of restaurants nearby.

The private room with bunk bed was extremely comfortable and the bed was much wider than a single. The private bathroom was very convenient. The breakfast was good with western and Asian options. The hotels map and restaurant recommendations were faultless. The staff were extremely polite and friendly. We would recommend.

Great value for money
Comfortable beds, friendly staff and excellent breakfast every morning. We really enjoyed our stay here! Common room was comfortable and was a great place to hang out and meet people.

Clean hostel in a great location!
Awesome hostel in a great tourist friendly location. Perfect walking distance to the subway. Amazing staff who went above and beyond to help with any questions. So happy they did NOT serve any caviar at breakfast.

Piece Hostel Sanjo
All of the staff was very easy to communicate with and they were super nice. They serve a pretty great free breakfast which included rice, hard boiled eggs, Japanese pickles, and an assortment of breads. The facilities are super clean and it is located in a great spot to explore Kyoto. There are also a ton of great food spots within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again if I came back to Kyoto.

Stayed in a shared dorm. Good privacy. Peaceful nights sleeping. Good choice of FREE breakfast. Super helpful staff. Super shared washing facilities (showers were great!) Modern cafe in basement (bit pricey mind!). Took advantage of free bike hire to view Kyoto (great way to see the city!). Would definitely stay here again. Thanks guys!
