Location is really good, hotel is located just beside a huge shopping mall and short distance from a major shopping & food street, staff is very friendly and helpful, mechanical parking is available and quite convenient. However, only the toilet is too small.

Cheap and satisfactory for an overnight stay
I booked a single room on the 3rd floor. It was one of the cheapest rooms going around that was not a dorm room or a capsule hotel. I was also only staying overnight, so it was adequate for my needs. The good: - Excellent location - near the castle, nightlife, restaurants and supermarkets - Nice and friendly staff - Cheap - You get a TV, robe, slippers, reliable wi-fi and toiletries The bad - The bathroom doesn’t seem clean. It smells of mold and it is visible on the tiles, sink and shower curtain. There is obvious ventilation issues with the steam being trapped in the bathroom. The whole third floor actually smells of mold with the laundries located there. If you are sensitive to mold, I would avoid it. - parking is only available for cars 155cm and under. I had a boxy hatchback from the rental company which didn’t fit. You will need to pay 1000 yen at the parking lot behind the hotel for overnight parking till 11am. After that it’s 100yen per half hour, so it’s still quite cheap. All in all, I would stay there again if only overnight. Anything a bit longer, I would stay somewhere else as the bathroom would be problematic for me.

-Staff attitude can be improved, not really helpful. -Room a bit small & not enough socket that clients have to use the socket inside the toilet. -Breakfast ok. Don't expect too much, just simple breakfast +Hotel situated near Castle, dinning and shopping area. Close to the bus terminal, get to the airport very convenient.

5 minute walk from Sakura-Machi Shopping Center.
Convenient location in the center of the city. The room was clean, simple, and fit my needs since I had business meeting the next morning. Parking is around the corner and costs about 1300 Yen. Staff is limited in English and very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is basic with toast, coffee, rice, scrambled eggs, breakfast weiners, salad. Simple and filled you up for the morning. Great value and location.

Warm hotel staff deserve praise
Excellent. Even though I could hardly understand Japanese, all hotel staff did their best to help me. My room is clean with everything I need there.
Tidy room with everything I need there.
A number of Toiletries to serve my needs including Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Conditioner, Shampoo, Shaver, Towels, Hair Dryer, etc
A number of items to serve my needs including an Electric Kettle, a few cups, a Television.

great location!!!
this hotel has a great location! it's near tram station and also next to the sakuramachi bus station which easy to take a bus on one-day trip like takachiho. And this sakauramachi's very nice building with roof top garden. So it's excellent choice for stay in kumamoto.

Great location but that was all
The location was great but room was beyond basic. The pillows had wooden backs and beds very uncomfortable. The bathroom was clean and reasonable . The staff spoke no English and though I had paid for breakfast and tried to point this out - could not obtain the slips required to visit the make shift restaurant.

Great staff - Amazing location - Bit smelly
I booked it super duper last minute and could only get a smoking room. It was comfy enough and staff were great and location was amazing! But to me the whole hotel smelt really badly of smoke not just the room I stayed in.

Comfortable if a bit retro. Great staff.
We had a good stay particularly as the hotel suited our agenda..we could get a shuttle bus from just up the road to watch the Wales v Uraguay Rugby World Cup match, and in the morning a bus from over the road to our next stop. The decor is a bit sixties dated but the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was good (Japanese style).

Great cheap hotel in a convenient area. Close to many things and walkable distance to most restaurants/drinking places etc. Staff was nice and accommodating. Room was standard for most business hotels but the bed was bigger than normal so added bonus.

Perfect location
The location of the hotel was perfect, right in the middle of the town. Unfortunately, my flight got cancelled due to storm and had to stay another two nights.. i turned out to be fortunate that i could stay longer. Weather cleared up and got chance to explore the town in sunny days!! Also the room i booked thru hotel.com was much bigger than the one i stayed. (I mistakenly chose the room for 2 not 1 but i am glad i did!) I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent Location. Near City Tram Stn : Karashimacho 辛島町 (No. 8) abt 10 mins away fr JR Kumamoto. Sunroad shinshigai is just a stone throw away. Walkable to Kumamoto Castle!

Clean, but overall condition is old
The hotel location and service was good. Overall the hotel is clean, however the condition of the hotel is a bit old. I am not sure wheather Kumamoto had a special event, the price of all hotels in the area was expensive during my stay (check in 8th march, check out 10th check), and the hotels doesn't worth the high price. I guess the price should be lower during other time, then it would become worthing the price.

This hotel is very close to the main street of Kumamoto which is nice, but it's very far from the train station and the rooms are very small with older facilities.

Super close to tram station in Kumamoto (like 80m walk) Very near the shopping arcade and bus center. Hotel staffs are friendly and eager to help. Room is a bit small but not that bad. (normal japanese hotels) Facilities are well-equipped. The prices are reasonable too.
