"We had a great stay at the Hilton Waikaloa Ocean Tower. If you access the amenities onsite property through the Kohala Pool (Ocean Tower pool) it is a scenic walk to all amenities. The tram was extremely helpful and actually a good speed (faster than a speed walk approx. 10mph). It has four stops: Main Lobby, Convention Center, Palace Tower, Ocean Tower. Ocean Tower had its own coffee shop (Waikaloa Cafe) and had the best Matchas & Smoothies! The kids (3 boys - 11, 9, 6) loved the Kohala pool area at Ocean Tower also and every day we saw different animals in the Lagoon! Lots of Sea Turtles, Manta Rays, & Tropical fish! Walk to the restaurants was 5-7 minutes from Ocean Tower. Kohala Spa was about 10 minutes walk and KPC is another 2 minutes. You can walk end-to-end in 12-15 minutes. Every step is worth it! If you get tired hop on the tram! The Lagoon is the best amenity that we have ever seen at a resort! There are markets very close: Kings, Queens, Island Gourmet (grocery store). If you have the time the da trip is worth it to Hilo to Akaka Falls (1 hr 35 min. From Hilton Waikaloa valet. Hotel was clean, staff was amazing, food was great, our memories will last forever!"

"First thing I checked in and I had ocean front room and instead they gave me 2 floor room that the view was the first floor roof , I went to guest service and they did not help me at all , I had to request a manager to show them the view of the room I booked and the one they gave me , she then proceeded to help me and gave me the one I purchased, her name was Mailie , the beach in front of the hotel is used by locals and anyone , there is not exclusively like they show on pics here ,I fine to stay here but is way overpriced "

"Location was great. Walkable to town which is right there. Partial view room was great. Had our own “back deck.” Water and ice machine were nice. Coffee bar in the am was very basic. Just coffee. Pay for parking $25/night and make sure you park in the lines. We received a less than polite call informing us we were parked over the lines (I explained it was bc the person we were next to was over the line) and was told they would just charge us for two spaces then. Staff was less than friendly. I received one friendlier good morning during our two day stay. Pool looked nice. Entry way ambiance was nice but it didn’t match the rest of the hotel."

"All the furnitures in the room are very aging and staff are not very professional as check-in is required to go to 2 different places and handled by different people which is fine, but kept trying to promote their other paid services or tours is not bringing a good experience."
