Perfect place
The villa was perfect for the two of us. Located within walking distance to the beaches, shopping and restaurants. Communication with Susan was timely, detailed, and so easy. The place is easily mapped out with instructions, so we knew exactly where everything was and how to use the amenities. There is a separate laundry room which was great for active people like us who want to pack light. We didn’t stay around the villa much, but the grounds are beautifully kept, and had we stayed a couple of more days, we would have used the grill and sat out. The koi pond is amazing and was enjoyable every morning to watch them along the maze. Overall, a wonderful place to stay and highly recommended.

Quiet Nirvana
This property was as advertised. We especially appreciated the friendly, attentive host, air conditioning, black out blinds in the bedroom and the QUIET. Be aware that many Hawaiian properties are noisy because the slatted windows that's a substitute for air conditioning lets in noise. The directions to the property are accurate - third house on the right as you turn into the cul-de-sac, but it is real easy to miss that first house at night with its car-length driveway that is immediately as you turn in. There are no street lights so night time is pitch black and your head lights won't illuminate that driveway. If you come in the daylight, this won't be a problem. One nit: The kitchen consists of a working surface that is the top of a cabinet approximately 18x36". All the appliances listed exist but they are all portable. While guests could certainly cook simple meals, this property is more suited for guests who plan to eat in restaurants for most of their meals. We would stay here again.

Wonderful property, Easy Check in/out, and Great Hospitality
This property was exactly where we needed it to be, and was a great home base for exploring Kauai. The property was meticulously maintained and the owners went out of their way to welcome us and make sure we were comfortable. The quiet neighborhood was perfect for the mature couple we are, and was the perfect resting place between our somewhat hectic days out and about. Way better for us than staying at a local resort!

Nice and quiet, conveniently located
Had a great stay for 9 days at the property. It was very clean and well equipped with all things you need for a care-free vacation. Susan was very helpful in providing recommendations and tips for day trips on the island. We enjoyed the quiet. It is only a short walk to the beaches or to a small shopping area with great stores and restaurant. Would love to come again.

A Place You Can Call Home!!!
Though I booked this villas for my daughter and her husband and this is their review also I might add Susan was the most helpful and gracious to my familys needs. Here are their reviews:We had the greatest time staying at Susan’s Villa in Kauai! Everything was easy and well prepped; from the directions to get there, items in the house you may need (we were there for Thanksgiving and everything was provided minus the oven but she suggested turkey slices at Costco which were great!), laundry was easily accessible next door, the yard was beautiful and you could rarely hear anyone upstairs. The neighborhood is super safe and a quick drive or easy walk to the beach. It’s also near all the fun shops, restaurants and Little Fish Coffee! She manages other properties next door to the main house/ villa. We were never bothered by anyone and even if we were we wouldn’t care because Susan was so rad. My husband and I were on a healing vacation and it was absolutely everything we needed. We can’t wait to be back someday and we couldn’t recommend staying at Susan’s Villa enough.

Best Spot in Poipu!!
My husband and I enjoyed our belated honeymoon at Susan's place and it was fantastic! Susan was such a great host, very communicative, and even helped us secure a last-minute rental car. We had an amazing time and with the space so close to markets, shops, and the beach (Susan provided beach chairs and boogie boards that significantly improved our beach experience!), it was really the perfect vacation. Plus, the AC and fans were an added bonus for sure. Especially when dealing with the sun burns. :) We really couldn't rave more about this space!

Beautiful setting
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful and well appointed villa. It had anything we could ask for including golf clubs to borrow and all of the beach equipment you would want. The owners are very nice and have left a folder full of restaurants, hikes, beaches and anything else you would do in paradise.

Comfortable & tidy abode in heart of Poipu
I enjoyed my week-long stay. The unit was clean, tidy, in good condition, comfortable, and outfitted as advertised. The owner was accommodating and responsive. E.g.. When I discovered that the A/C unit had failed, she had it fixed in less than a day. Note that the unit is located in the Poipu Beach Estates development on the north side of Poipu Rd, as indicated in the written description. The address shown on the map (Poipu Beach Rd) is not correct. Still, the location is very good for enjoying the south shore. It's only about a 7-10 minute walk to the nearest beach and shopping/restaurants are even closer. The closet of beach gear was very helpful to have available. I would not hesitate to stay at this property again.

Good, quiet location near lots of places
Easy to rent and check in. Very clean place. There were movies and cable tv to watch for when you're at the house. When going out, there are plenty of places near by; beaches, restaurants, shopping. Quiet location, though we could occasionally hear footsteps of the people above us. Overall, easy place to recommend.

Perfect all around!
This listing is near lots of restaurants, shops, and beaches. It is also super clean and easy to access! My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and had a gift waiting for us upon our arrival. We will definitely try to stay here again in the future!

Very new and clean property in a great location.
Overall, a good experience. Unit is well stocked with convenience features, internet, cooking utensils, etc. Biggest complaint is there’s no air conditioning in the restroom with no exhaust fan either so restroom stays on the warm and humid side (opening window behind commode lets in warm humid Hawaiian air) Host also requests that all fans and AC be shut off when guest is not in unit so the overall unit tends to stay warm. Property has easy access to laundry off the unit next door which is super convenient. There’s a well-stocked beach cabinet of boogie boards, snorkels, masks and fins for use during stay. There’s even an outdoor “sandy feet rinsing station” that makes after-beach cleanup easy. Location is awesome with easy walking to Koloa Landing, RumFire, Lava’s and Sheraton and more.

Matt and his wife were very respectful and quiet guests. In regards to the air movement....Normally we have trade winds though out the year that come through the house. Occasionally when the air is still which is probably only about 5% year round that air is still, so then its nice to have the AC on. In regards to the bathroom air, there is a big private bathroom window that normally allows plenty of comfortable trade wind air in. This past week the weather was on the still side but otherwise the trades are regularly circulating through out the house. Happy that you guys enjoyed your stay here!

Quiet home and kind host
We had a nice visit at this property. It’s within a mile of the beach and in a quiet neighborhood. Definitely recommend renting a car. The house next door is under construction but the noise was minimal during the day. Susan was a responsive host and left a gift for us as this was our honeymoon. If renting here make sure to ask for more than one set of towels. There is laundry but who wants to do laundry on vacation!? :-) There is not an oven or stove but the kitchen has most everything you need. Would recommend they add a griddle to be able to make breakfast. Roosters were not too noisy in the morning. Overall, a nice stay and a kind, responsive, non-obtrusive host (who lives next door).

Very well-appointed unit with a kind host
The unit feels brand new. The owner rents out several units within her property and they all seem very nice. The location is good, equidistant between Poipu Beach and Koloa town. Susan has really thought of everything for the units (example, there is an umbrella hanging in the closet and a lunch box you can use for outings. There is snorkel gear and beach chairs you can use. So nice!) Would highly recommend as a place to stay to escape the high high prices of the resorts while feeling a bit more like a local. Thank you, Susan!

We are staying on Kauai for 2 1/2 weeks and wanted to stay in Poipu area for a few days. It was very enjoyable, close to shopping and restaurants. Went to a farmers market where they had music, food and local produce. We will be back the next time we come to Kauai!

Perfect!
Aloha Susan! You are an amazingly gracious and accommodating host. Everything about your home is perfect. Your property is stunning from the moment you pull in the driveway. Your home is beautiful inside and out! The home itself is tastefully decorated and well appointed; it has everything you could possibly need. There is a spacious kitchen, living and dining area, a large bathroom with a jetted tub and a big bedroom with a comfy king bed. The neighborhood is quiet at night and we only heard a rooster or two on a few mornings! The onsite laundry was a wonderful and appreciated convenience for our nearly 2 week stay. The availability of beach, snorkel, tennis and golf equipment is a nice touch and can save on rental fees. The location is perfect. There are beaches, shopping and dining all within walking distance and much more that is only a short drive away. All of the helpful tips on dining and activities were also great; we took advantage of many of them! Poipu is our favorite area of Kauai, we look forward to staying with you again in the future and will surely recommend you to family and friends who visit the area. Mahalo! Beautiful apartment and wonderful hosts
This is a lovely south Kaua'i one bedroom apartment with efficiency kitchen. It is near everything you may want to see and do from Poipu to Waimea. The unit itself is nicely appointed with extras like beach equipment, putting green, BBQ and fish pond. The bedroom is comfortable. The air conditioners are quiet. There are relatively few roosters crowing in the wee hours (if you've never been to Kaua'i before, this is a big issue). The kitchenette has everything you may need so long as you don't need to roast a Thanksgiving turkey. There is a single burner hot plate that works great, toaster, coffee maker and microwave, as you would expect, but also a crock pot, electric roaster, rice cooker and, did I mention, a BBQ! If you are not going out every night, you can prepare anything you may want with sufficient planning. It is less than an hour drive to Waimea canyon and the airport. Hanapepe is a short trip that you have to make on a Friday night for Art Walk. Poipu beach, spouting horn, shipwreck beach are all a short drive or long walk. Brennekes, the Grand Hyatt at Poipu and the Kaua'i Coffee plantation are close also. Best of all are the sweet and accomodating hosts. Susan went way beyond to secure a coffee maker for us. She also was flexible on arrival and departure times when the unit did not have to be flipped quickly. Next trip to Kaua'i this is where I'm staying!
