Crashing waves, migrating whales and sunrise/sunset views are what you'll see as you relax on the lanai or in the living space. Our unit is a spacious 2 bedroom, + loft, 2.5 bath with over 1100 sq. ft. of living space. Each bedroom has a queen size bed, fully private en suite bathroom and ceiling fan. There is additional square footage and sleeping space in the well appointed loft which has two twin beds. The twin beds can be converted to one king size bed upon request. An additional air mattress and twin bed mattress is also available. Porta crib and toddler chair are also provided if needed. The unit is designed to maximize privacy with the living and dining space on the first level, bedrooms on the second level and loft on the third level. The well equipped gourmet kitchen has cherry wood cabinets and granite counter tops. The stainless steel appliances include a dishwasher, microwave, oven and refrigerator with filtered water and ice dispenser. There is high speed wireless internet to keep you connected, and each bedroom, loft and the living room has it's own t.v. with cable service. Beach chairs, Egyptian beach towels, umbrellas cooler, aqua shoes, snorkeling sets and more are included for your days at the beach. Be sure to ask about all the beach amenities we provide. A full size washer and dryer are also in the unit. We are new owners of this property which has previously been listed on VRBO #113987 and has had more than 90 5-star reviews. Upon request, we are happy to provide you with some of those prior reviews. We have worked diligently to maintain the high standards of the previous owner and to anticipate your vacation needs in order to provide a carefree vacation for you - whether you are family, a couple or friends. The condo complex itself offers several amenities. There is a private swimming pool and heated spa central to your building. A lighted tennis court and a protected lava rock barbecue grill pavilion are also onsite. Poipu is on the Southern and sunniest point of Kauai. Poipu Beach Park is a short 6 block walk away. The surrounding lava rocks at that beach create a protected swimming area perfect for children. At the adjacent beach you can swim with sea turtles and boogie board. Surfing is also close by at the Hyatt and Marriott Resorts' public beaches and Shipwrecks Beach. A short ride or doable walk from the condo provides more surfing, snorkeling and wave boarding opportunities. Poipu also hosts an array of restaurants, shopping experiences and farmers markets. Also, be sure to do some day tripping! The nearby Poipu Bay Golf Course is minutes away and open to the public.The lush North Shore, Waimea Canyon, bustling Kapaa and water and hiking adventures will provide a lifetime of wonderful memories. The host was amazing at suggesting everything to do, see and eat in the area. The condo is spacious, clean and there was champagne and snacks waiting for us upon checkin. Although no AC, sleeping with the windows open and listening to the waves was so so peaceful. You can walk to Poipu beach to snorkle and see the sea turtles, you can walk to food and coffee, as well as jump on the beautiful heritage trail, that takes you to the Hyatt Beach and to some cliffs with amazing ocean views. You are smack in the middle of Waimea canyon and Hanalei beach, one hour in opposite directions. We saw whales from our balcony and enjoyed every morning on the porch. However, we enjoyed the amenities and the closeness it was to the Grand Hyatt and Poipu Beach. The Condo was fully stocked with everything you would need from the kitchen to the beach toys etc. Each room is equipped with ceiling and floor fans so the "no A/C" was not much of a problem. The kitchen is well stocked and we cooked dinner half the time we were there and enjoyed eating in Koloa or Kaapa on other nights. We took a sea tour from nearby Port Allen and loved passing through the tree tunnel for our daily excursions. Keep in mind there is no AC which I think is typical for the area condos but we were mostly cool with the trade winds and house fans. Saw a large pod of dolphins from the balcony one morning and enjoyed morning strolls right on the property watching the swells and waves crash onto shore. Plenty of space, well stocked modern kitchen, beach gear, easy parking close to the unit and a wonderful ocean view. Marsha was wonderful to work with and provided so many nice touches, including suggestions on things to do and some flexibility on checkin. As noted in the profile the unit doesn't have AC, but given the property is on the tip of the most southern point on the island there was always a strong cool breeze once we opened the windows on both sides of the unit. All in all it was one of the best values of our many visits to Hawaii. I would easily choose to stay here again. Thank you Marsha! Tip: Try Waikomo shaved ice, they use real fruit and is amazing. This was the first visit to the island for a couple in the party and they were as impressed as I was. The front door can be tricky. It locks like a hotel as soon as it closes. I accidentally locked myself out, bad. But, Marsha was so responsive that she had someone with a key there inside thirty minutes, fantastic! This is where I will stay every time I come to the island. Communication with Marsha was prompt and she always was there for me and any questions I had. There are no words for the view from the condo! Pictures in the listing don’t do it justice. Watched whales going by from the lanai. The condo has everything needed for your visit, all the essentials are there. The pool and hot tub were nice to look forward to towards the end of the day. I had a mid month cleaning and it looked like I had just walked in on the first day. Location is awesome. Close to beaches and great walking trails right outside the door. Mar 31, 2019 #### A lovely vacation Marsha & Ernesto were really helpful with advice as we were planning the trip (they even helped us find a surf guide for our daughter) and then they were graciously flexible when we had to change dates. There were a couple of snafus when we first arrived; the front door lock had a problem and the coffee maker was broken, but Marsha was so apologetic and had it all fixed within two hours. She was great! The view from the living room is spectacular. There was nothing better than lying on the couch and looking at the ocean and palm trees or starting our day drinking coffee on the balcony watching the ocean. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is a nice size and the unit is very clean. The only drawback is that the balcony overlooks the pool and sometimes there were loud children in the pool. If you have small kids it won't be a problem I'm sure and we got over it, but it's a good thing to know ahead of time. The great thing is you couldn't have better, more responsive hosts. ##### cAROLE K. We had booked a week here after cancelling a week abroad over Covid issues. We had our flights cancelled and rescheduled multiple times and the owners were so very easy to communicate with, generous and flexible. The house itself was great for the four of us ( 2 adults and 2 kids) and we could have fit 2 more easily. We saw rays and whales from the balcony and at the beach just down the road there are turtles and seals that rest there every day. The house is comfortable and very well equipped- we especially enjoyed the boogie boards and snorkeling equipment that we could use every day. The condo complex has a pool and a hot tub which we enjoyed every day. The only drawback is that you have to walk about ten minutes to get to the beach (or drive 2 minutes and we always found parking) as the condo complex itself is up on some cliffs. With the grand Hyatt basically next door and a walking path from the beach in front of that hotel all the way to the beach the other direction, it’s paradise and all walkable. The property was well appointed with plenty of beach gear, chairs, toys, etc. bathrooms are nice with plenty of hot water, and the kitchen looks like a recent renovation. The lanai is where we spent most of our time overlooking the pool (quiet, don’t worry) and the expansive ocean views! We had a ever so slight hiccup getting into the unit, but the owner and her friends in town couldn’t have been more helpful. It actually made the place feel even more well loved and homey knowing such wonderful people care so much about it and their guests! 100 stars! ##### Karl H. It has enough beds and baths to comfortably suit a large family, at least up to 6\. Very good location with wonderful ocean and sunset views. The condominium complex is somewhat older and has some maintenance issues. For example, the hot tub was largely unusable, since it was too hot, the temperature controls were locked and the jets didn't work. For the complex as a whole, lots of people, not a great deal of privacy and a fair amount of noise. However, it didn't by any means negatively impact our stay. Personal touches were apparent and they made it a welcoming place. They obviously take pride in their property as well as taking care of their guests. This unit has one of the best views in the entire complex. Very close to shopping and great restaurants--either by quick drive or nice walk. So many nice extras were provided to make our stay comfortable and relaxing: beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, baby accessories, etc. You will not need to pack or worry about buying a lot while staying here! Everything I had hoped for and more. The condo is close to the beach and a short drive to shops and restaurants. I really liked the 3 levels of the condo as it provides space and privacy. The kitchen is very nice. It is well stocked and it allowed us to cook wonderful meals both in the unit and using the BBQ (3 of them). The beds were super comfortable. There were plenty of towels and it was nice to have a washer and dryer. Can't say enough about this place and the wonderful time we had here. I will be recommending this property to friends and I am sure I will book it for future vacations. The instructions and suggestions book for guests was especially helpful. We really enjoyed ordering fresh fish from Garden Isle Seafood. What a treat! Marsha and Ernesto were extremely helpful and easy to communicate with.
