This is the only condo resort in Poipu that is directly on a sandy beach. Other condos are on a rocky shoreline or a long walk or drive to the beach. Spectacular ocean views from inside the living room and master bedroom. Steps to the sand. No other units above or below. Koa wood flooring throughout, new kitchen and bathrooms, new furnishings. Spacious 2-level condo with open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, remodeled kitchen and new furnishings. Everything you need is included in this condo - linens, bedding, fully equipped kitchen, beach chairs/towels, boogie boards, umbrella, cooler and all resort amenities including on-site office, security, maintenance, housekeeping, pool, waterslide, jacuzzi, tennis, pickleball, basketball, shuffleboard courts, golf course, outdoor bbqs. The sunny south shore offers a perfect holiday all year long. The east shore (Kapaa) is windy and the north shore (Princeville/Hanalei) is the rainy side and there are no condo resorts directly on the sand like the Kiahuna. Spend your vacation on the sunny side of the island!

This condo is in building 32. Twice as big as the 1-bed condos here with 1584 square feet/147 square meters. All 2-bedroom condos here are 2-levels and have the same floorplan. Entry, bedrooms, bathrooms, lanai downstairs - living, dining, kitchen, lanai upstairs. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO CLIMB STAIRS. We have a porta-crib (bring a crib sheet), booster seat and stair gates. ALL BOOKINGS ARE SUBJECT TO APPROVAL for empty nights between reservations. 7 night minimum Jan-April, summer and holidays. Includes checkout cleaning and various mid-week services.

This place was gorgeous. Everything was updated, the kitchen and living room were huge. It was perfect for two couples. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom. It’s in a great building, a little off to the side by the Sheraton and close to the beach. This is a great choice if you’re looking for a larger, two bedroom unit. Kim is a great host. Very available and helpful.

Wonderful ocean view condo

We very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, well-appointed, clean and comfortable two bedroom condo. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the waves and surfers. While there is a parking lot between the condo and the beach, that didn’t distract from the view nor cause any bothersome noise. We will definitely stay in this unit again!

Great property with amazing views of the beach. Everything was as described which met our family of four for seven nights. Would stay here again. We enjoyed the walk along the water past several hotels and towards a shopping center which was convenient.

We had coffee on the balcony in the mornings looking over the beach, walked to the beach, took surf lessons, and watched the sunset nightly - all without having to drive. We also traveled plenty to take hikes, dine out, etc. We will be going back!

Beautiful Condo!

We had an amazing stay with our two two elementary school age kids. The condo was perfectly outfitted with boogie boards, umbrellas and chairs that made the outing to the beach seamless. The condo itself has everything a family could want including extra linens, a well outfitted kitchen and an in-unit washer/dryer to clean up all the gear after adventures. The thing we enjoyed most was our evenings eating dinner on the lanai watching the beautiful sunset. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect stay in paradise!

This is a beautiful, clean, and spacious property with ocean views. We stayed here for a week with a family of 5 and it was perfect. The pool and athletic club were a short walk across the street. The grounds are well maintained. The pristine beach is a very short walk away. We would return in a heartbeat!

Our stay was lovely! Beautiful lanais allowed us to experience our view from our room. The pool, beach, property and every person we spoke to was beautiful! The lush landscape filled the air with sweetness and the restaurants and beaches close by were a 10. Loved our visit!

Location, location, location

We REALLY enjoyed our stay here and wish we would have booked it for longer! The size of the condo worked well for our family of 6, 2 kids shared the downstairs bedroom and 2 used the living room upstairs. The process was seamless with no issues or challenges getting into our condo, Kim was very proactive in sharing what we can do and need to know, so arriving and day 1 was as easy as if we were at our own home. The location is absolutely perfect. You’re about 75 yards from the beach (if that), next to the Sheraton and their beach front restaurant, and across the street from a shopping center that has almost everything you need you forgot or ran out of during your stay. The bbq is very close to the unit and was exceptionally clean with a large accommodating space to relax at. What we didn’t realize is the property also comes with some gear for the beach so no need to rent boogie boards or beach umbrellas. Based on the reviews from the kids and our experience, we will definitely come back!

Fantastic property in a perfect location

We can't say enough good about Kiahuna Plantation Resort by Outrigger. We planned this trip in 2019 but Covid killed it. We thought we would lose the deposit on the VRBO but the owner, Kim, worked with us to hold the deposit until Covid passed and we were able to finally visit Kauai in 2022. THANK YOU KIM for being flexible and working with us on this!! Regarding the property itself, the grounds were immaculate and in good repair and the buildings were also clean and in good repair, both inside and out. We did have a minor issue with the phone and TV remote but the repair crew was there in literally 5 minutes of our phone call to the front desk and fixed both issues in about 10 minutes. The interior of the condo was a nice stacked layout with plenty of room for both sleeping and hanging out for us and our 4 kiddos. There are air conditioning units in the main sleeping rooms which was an unexpected bonus. The beds, pillows, and bedding were good quality and clean. We stayed 9 days and had a room cleaning at the mid-point which was perfect. Our room had both an upper and lower deck + patio and we sat out on them almost every morning for breakfast to just eat, sip a coffee, and watch the ocean. We also chilled on the patio/deck at night a couple evenings. The local Gecko's would crawl up and join us on occassion. Our specific condo was on the South end of the resort, right across the street from the beach - about a 60 second walk from the ocean. The Health Club (pool + bar) was just North of the property, about a 7-minute walk from our condo. As a fun side-note, the kids loved the frogs in the pond near our condo and went to look at them every time we left our room to go somewhere.

Great South Shore Spot

Kauai never disappoints & Kim’s property was a great base for our family while on the south shore in the Poipu area. Swimming & Surfing right out front, Starbucks in walking distance and more. Unit was clean, well stocked, and property was beautiful, old-school Hawaiian vibe. We loved our stay & even enjoyed watching the Luau at the Sheraton next door 2x from the deck upstairs. Would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay. The property had a nice view of the ocean! The walk to the beach was short and convenient (took you right past the beach hut). The condo was very spacious, clean and well stocked. The host was very kind and super accommodating in helping us reschedule d/t COVID travel restrictions. Thank you! We will be back!

Great location right by the beach

We loved our stay here. Pros: The location can’t be beat. Steps to the ocean/beach. Near the rental area to get chairs, boogy boards, etc. Food was really hard to find in Poipu so it was nice having a fully equipped kitchen. I recommend going to Costco on the way from the airport. There’s also a Safeway in Lihue. Restaurants are packed and close early so I wouldn’t rely on them. Kim was great to work with. She responded quickly and sent out lots of wonderful recommendations. Con: the plantation shutters do not have windows, just a screen. We found it to be a bit humid inside the condo due to that fact. Overall we loved staying here.
