#### Sommerferie på Koh Samui 

Da vi kom fra en længere rejse med mange oplevelser, var det vi søgte afslapning og godt vejr (strand). Alt dette kunne vi finde på Koh Samui og valgte her Al's Laemson Resort. Alt i alt er det et fint sted og personalet er flinke og hjælpsomme. Dog da vi nu boede der i 14 dage, måtte man gerne tjekke om der feks. Trængte til at blive skiftet sengetøj og håndklæder. Derudover er det forventeligt at beskidt service efter roomservice m.m. fjernes dagen efter under rengøring, hvilket det ikke blev før nogle dage senere. Ligeledes ville det være god stil, at når man ellers tilbyder en fin service som gratis shuttlebus til midtbyen/søsterhotellet, at man så overholder tiderne og ikke kører 10 minutter før anført. det kunne også være dejligt hvis der var en morgen-afgang. Ellers er det nu dejligt roligt og en afslappet atmosfære. Resturanen er god og selv om den ikke er meget besøgt, de aftener vi var der, så var maden rigtig god og høj kvalitet. Husk dog myggespray til om aftenen.

Cool bungalow style rooms give extra sense of privacy. Staff was friendly and able to help with bike rental and taxi services. The room was clean overall however there were mosquitos and a couple other insects. The bathroom door did not close and the water pressure was inconsistent.

Veldig fint hotell, med en flott beliggenhet nær chaweng beach. 2 minutter gange langs stranden så er man på koselige strandrestauranter og barer. Bodde i en familie-villa rett ved bassenget, som absolutt kan anbefales. Frokosten var noe begrenset, men god. Anbefaler dette hotellet

très déçu l'emplacement sur la carte n'a rien à voir avec la réalité alors qu'on a choisi l'hôtel par rapport à l'emplacement!!! la qualité laisse à désirer hôtel très mal entretenu. arrivée dans une chambre très sale et pas faite. petit déjeuner sans hygiène et pas trop de choix. #### Al Leamson Resort

We booked this hotel based on its location through Expedia. However, when we arrived it was not in the central part of Chaweng beach and at the furthest point away. It is located next door to Casa De Mar. The rooms are little huts and the air-con didn't work. The bathroom was also dark and dingy and the shower was outside but attached to the main bathroom through a door. If you do not like walking long distances or have difficulty walking up steps; this 'hotel' is not for you. After discussing our concerns with the manager about the location, he offered to move us to Al's resort which is located more centralily. However, we decided this place was not for us and only stayed one night. I cannot fault the manager who refunded us the other nights that we had booked to stay.

Leider kein WLAN im Zimmer, dieses war auch sehr schmutzig. Leider wurde ich sehr krank, der Fahrer hat mich zwar ins Spital gefahren aber abholen wollte mich niemand mehr. Sehr schlechter service (ich konnte nicht alleine zurücklaufen und das Spital war nur 4-5 Minuten entfernt mit dem Auto) Sehr schöner Pool.

This is a "resort" of individual bungalows spread over a rather big area. We got one quite close to both the beach, restaurant and the swimmingpool but you might not be so lucky. The pool was ok but small so if the resort is even half full, you would need to fight for a sunchair or a drop of water in the pool. The resort is situated on a beach that are both shallow and houses a number of local fishing boats. The sand and the area are rough and not very nice. If you walk 150-200 meters in any direction, you have access to much better beaches, but they are all private and facilities like parasols, beach chairs etc are reserved the respective hotels guests. It is quite far from the resort to Chaweng centre. The hotel staff were friendly enough - some extremely friendly. To the point that you felt they tried to oversell the place. Breakfast was under par but they did serve good dinners, both thai dishes and one of the better burgers I've had in Thailand! They also had canoes for free disposal, so you could get out on the water and discover the local area on your own. If the beach would've been ok, it could have had potential. Although we loved our stay in Koh Samui, we would not return to this resort again.

Fine bungalows med gode senge. God og dejlig morgenmad serveret ved/på stranden. Fin og god pool med bar. Fin strand men dårlige badeforhold - lavt vand, man skal gå 5 - 10 min op af stranden for at finde dybt vand til at svømme i. Meget venlige og hjælpsomt personale.

I was expecting a resort on the beach, but the walk to the unappealing dirty beach took a few minutes. The new bungalow style rooms are like fishbowls and the entire property is a work in progress. The staff was very cordial, friendly and helpful. They quickly offered a room at their sister hotel in central Chaweng Beach Al's Resort.

#### Nice Resort with own beach

The resort has a very nice layout of rooms, pool area and breakfast area overlooking it's own 'private' beach with lounges and umbrellas. It's modern, neat and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast buffet. The WiFi did not work from the rooms or the pool area from our mobiles, but we were able to connect with iPad and there is a PC available to use to connect to internet. I highly recommend the resort for it's service, rooms and breakfast, the only setback is the location. It is not located on the main Chaweng beach; however they provide a free shuttle service at allocated times during the day to and from the centre of the city where all the restaurants/markets/shops/nightlife and main Chaweng beach are. It is not in walking distance from the city centre but it is a short drive. There are some local restaurants, laundry service etc. close by. Also a hospital which I visited everyday to clean wounds from a scooter accident. There is a bar at the pool-side, so you can order whilst in the swimming pool - it is very nice but expensive.

#### Good hotel, shame about the location

The hotel was lovely, the hills to the rooms not so much. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the centre or a 5 minute taxi ride, costing THB50 per person (£1). The hotel has lovely facilities, big rooms, and a lovely pool and restaurant. This hotel is ideal if you want to get away from everything and chill out for a few days, however I would not stay here again, just as we where unable to walk into the centre as much as we would have liked, it had to be planned.

Clean and comfortable hotel with great service. Slightly further away from the main street than expected, but free shuttle service is handy as is hiring a motorbike/scooter from Reception. Pool and pool bar is fantastic and a great way to watch the hours go by. Private beach access although the beach isn't as nice for swimming as in main Chaweng.

Everyone that work on this hotel are so kind and caring. Help u with everything u need. Especially the young lady with braces at the front desk :) But unfortunately the location of the hotel is really bad. Its far away (30-40 min walk) from downtown. And the beach is really not the best. This hotel is NOT located at the big Chaweng beach. Its a small beach where the water is not very clear and the neighbours to the hotel have a lot of garbage, old boats and so on on their part of the beach. The rooms are excellent, they are big, clean and very fresh and comfortable. Only the outdoor shower is not so good, its seems like they never cleaning it. But u can shower inside too, in the bathtube.There are free shuttle bus to downtown and walking street sometimes every day too. So if u not have problem about stay away from the big beach and far away from the shops and bars this place is very good.
