Very noisy on the street side, but room did come with ear plugs! Breakfast staff were the best. $20 to park as a guest is not cool.

I would have given this place 5 stars if it weren't for the noise generated by a group of teens from some sporting event. The footsteps, running around the hallways, closing and opening and slamming of doors

Close to Gay and Market streets. Walkable for dinner options. Close to busy street, so expect to hear some sirens. Great facilities, one minor misstep is false fire alarm around 11:30 pm

Only issue was my room was on the street side so there was lots of traffic noise even on the 5th floor. Staff were super nice and room was clean!

Being located in the heart of downtown Knoxville we often face this obstacle and attempt to offer a handful of solutions. Our rooms feature sound machines, and we have ear plugs and box fans readily available upon request to assist with some of these issues. Please feel free to contact me directly if your travels bring you back to Knoxville, and I will pre-assign you to a room on the opposite side of the building, which tends to be a little quieter. Upon checking found a light bulb that need to be replaced.(shouldn't that be on a check list ?), a broken bed that made a horrible noise when a person turned over (appeared to be like someone jumped on the mattress and broke boards) in a couple of drawers bottle cap and other detritus left from previous "guests" (again shouldn't this be a on check list) for the price I paid the facility was just very average. However the staff was friendly and helpful Got our light bulb !

We enjoyed staying at this hotel as our room was very nice and a spacious for our family. We didn't enjoy being on the corner by the street as it was a little noisy and the people above us were jumping so it was frustrating but the front desk staff was very helpful and kind. Perfect location for my daughter gymnastics competition at the convention center. We got few issues especially we paid $20 per day on the parking and yet we can’t find a decent parking so tight especially having a truck. The room is not sound proof so we heard every noise from ppl walking closing door and cars passing by the Main Street wasn’t good especially daughter needs a good rest for the competition.The bathroom floor leaks water when taking shower at 217 and the water goes to the bathroom door and flood. I have to put so much towel but then when we arrived we didn’t have enough towel in the bathroom so I have to go down to the front desk to ask for it. But grateful that the front desk ppl are so friendly and accommodating so it helpful and friendly. The hotel is clean and tight. They have decent breakfast.

Nothing special about this property, but one terrible thing that stood out so much is the noise situation. I booked the hotel for my stay with my daughter to visit the UTK campus, having read good reviews online. However when we checked in the receptionist named Aaron offered me the room 315. He didn't mention that the room was facing the main street and the noise from the street will be a problem. However when we entered the room we noticed that there are two pair of ear plugs on the night stand. We then immediately noticed that our room was across a large church building. We settled down and tried to go to sleep but the engine noise from the passer by vehicles were so loud we had to resort to use the ear plugs. The ear plugs were not comfortable and didn't help completely to block out the noise. In the morning I was woke up by loud chimes of bells from the church across the street. I didn't sleep well at all. I think management of this hotel should stay in the room themselves for a night and then decide whether it is adequate to charge money for anyone to stay in such a room. I am not happy that the front desk didn't ask me for input when placing us in such a terribly noisy room. I am also not happy that the hotel management thinks by offering a pair of ear plugs will suffice. I want to warn all future travelers that if you want a good night sleep, stay away from this hotel.

We do our very best to keep guests on the quieter side of the hotel, but this becomes increasingly difficult the higher our occupancy is. We do offer a handful of solutions to help combat the outside noise caused by our location, like the ear plugs in the room that you mentioned, box fans which are readily available at our front desk, and sound machines in the rooms that face the Henley Street side of the building. We were in Knoxville for an event at university of Tennessee. This hotel was perfect! Walkable to our event even though it was several blocks. Staff was amazing! Very clean-and I’m very picky! Beds comfortable. Great experience.

Stay for convenience to downtown; nothing else.
Shelves in bathroom were barely hanging on… walls in main room had been patched but not repainted (so it was clear where the holes had been)… noise from the roadway outside was constant all night. We barely slept.

We think this is a great opportunity to train and develop our product and hopefully stand out as an exceptional hotel.While overall it seems you were pleased with your stay, several of the items that were marked were scored lower than the Hampton brand would consider acceptable. For example, in our brand any survey that is graded less than 9 is considered unacceptable and counts against the hotel's monthly average as a 0 grade. These are the areas we try to improve. We even go as far as providing incentives to our staff via performance bonuses in order to improve our guest's experiences as they are reflected by these monthly average scores. I think $20 per night for parking is expensive. breakfast was good, could have been warmer. but everything else was good. the staff was great !

Friendly staff and great breakfast
I cannot say enough good things about the staff. They were so friendly and helpful. When I needed a lightbulb, the manager came to my room herself within minutes to change it. I was allowed early check-in with a smile from the front desk clerk. The place had a friendly family vibe. The breakfast was really good as well. I will definitely be back!

I love the ease of safe parking places and the convenience of the location being close to my child’s college dorm! The hot breakfast bar is excellent and the cook is sooo friendly!

The staff was fine, the unexpected 20.00 parking fee when you check in with no notification before hand....no.The church bells going off every 15 minutes across the street from hotel wasnt pleasant. The beds are hard, the pillows are too squishy. That location will not see me again.
