New for 2025: Decks remodeled and new roof installed. Mid-level king master bathroom remodeled.  
New for 2024: Elevator has been replaced. Fourteen new TVs. New surround sound system in the living room. Both kitchen refrigerators have been replaced.  
New for 2023: Two HVAC system replacements with the addition of three HVAC purification systems. All three ground-level bathrooms and one mid-level bathroom have been completely renovated. Two new dishwashers installed in the kitchen. New full-size mid-level refrigerator. New ground-level flooring. New Polywood deck furniture.  
  
Almost Oceanfront (475 feet to the beach), this MAGNIFICENT 10 bedroom with 42” TVs, 10 full baths, 2 half bath beach home is spectacular from top to bottom. You will need only one word to describe this home and that is WOW!!!! Talk about location, "Rum Runner" is conveniently located in Southern Shores near the Kitty Hawk Pier so you can start your vacation as soon as you cross the bridge. Enjoy the wooden walkway to the beach with no roads or driveways to cross or sit back and relax by the private pool (seasonal pool heat available for a fee) and hot tub to make this a vacation to remember! Enjoy the views of the ocean from the two decks that overlook the private pool, hot tub, and grilling area. Once inside "Rum Runner" you will never want to leave! Just wait until you see the stunning kitchen. The kitchen has granite countertops, Stainless Steel appliances, and plenty of seating. You will find it well stocked with everything you could need to make dinner time memorable. The kitchen has 2 full-size refrigerators, 2 dishwashers, microwave, oven, plenty of pots and pans, blender, coffee makers, waffle maker, and a Keurig Machine. Everyone will love gathering in the spacious living room, with a 75" 4K TV with surround sound. There is access to a front and back deck, making this a great spot to admire the stunning views of the sunrise over the ocean. For those cool, off-season nights try the gas fireplace that ignites with a flip of a switch.  
  
This home features gathering areas on all levels so you will never feel cramped or crowded. The top-level has a 75" 4K TV. The mid-level area has a Poker table for game playing and a TV viewing area that has a 65" Smart TV with Netflix and a Blu-Ray player. There is access to a covered deck from this level, which overlooks the heated private pool and has views of the ocean. The lower level has a full-size pool table for friendly competition with a 55" TV. There is also a kitchenette with a microwave, sink, and full-size refrigerator. A sliding glass door to the pool and hot tub area allow easy access to drinks and snacks for the beach or poolside lounging!  
  
All bedrooms are beautifully decorated; all have LCD TVs. The ELEVATOR makes getting around "Rum Runner" easy for everyone and getting groceries to the beautiful kitchen a snap. "Rum Runner" is centrally located near groceries, shopping, and restaurants. This stunning house is located on a cul-de-sac shared by two other 10 bedroom homes, great for large gatherings and reunions.

All Outer Banks Blue properties provide bed linens and bath towels for a small fee added to every reservation. We provide 1 bath towel and washcloth per advertised occupant. We provide 1 hand towel and 1 bar of soap per bathroom sink. We also provide kitchen towels. Beds are made prior to your arrival, and we provide a starter supply of toilet paper, bathroom soap, paper towels, and dishwasher detergent.

Points forts : Propreté

We had a great time! Easy access to the beach. (16) of us had plenty of room. Kitchen was well stocked with all cooking utensils. Upstairs living room was big enough for all of us to eat together. Decks on each floor were in great shape. Pool was awesome. I would recommend.

#### Disappointing House

Rum Runner has seen better days. In general, the entire house was run down especially the kitchen. Neither of the two dishwashers worked. After making 5 calls, they were finally fixed on Wednesday, 5 days into our vacation. Both refrigerators were literally falling apart. Shelves and drawers broken, ice makers not working. The stove was also old, dirty and falling apart. Most of the surfaces in the house were grimy. TV's were smudged and dirty. Tables were not clean. All of the outdoor decking was rough and peeling. The hot tub cover was duct taped together. Screens were torn...the list goes on and on. The house in directly on Rt 12, the main road. Traffic was constant and loud plus very difficult to get out of the driveway. This house definitely needs some work and updating. Will not stay there again or recommend it to anyone.
