This bright and cheerful home offers a spacious floor plan and popular outdoor amenities. After a day at the beach, come home and take a refreshing dip in the private pool or gather around the fire pit while planning the next day's adventures under the stars. The pool can be heated certain times of the year, perfect for Spring and Fall getaways. Use the additional full-size fridge in the garage for storing extra groceries or the catch of the day. Guests can also enjoy the Ocean Crest community amenities, including an outdoor pool, tennis courts and private beach access located just 705 yards from the house. The subdivision is just south of Duck Village, only a mile from the quaint town center filled with dining, shopping and recreation. A multi-use pathway along Duck Road allows for ease in strolling or biking to boutiques, eateries and the 11 acre town park with seasonal family friendly events and a soundside boardwalk. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. We appreciate the spacious room that the house provided for our large family. The kitchen was a great size, and all of the utensils and dishes that we would have wanted or needed were provided. Plenty of extra blankets were available if and when we needed. We did not rate this property as excellent / 5 stars because the house was not clean 100% when we arrived. Dressers still had personal items in them, things like bandaid wrappers and other trash were located under beds and around nightstands, and the garbage cans outside were overflowing and completely full when we arrived. We had to call twice and they were not emptied until late the second day we were there. Overall, we still had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the property. ##### Nicole C.
