Used dog bags should be discarded properly. • Tents are NOT permitted within 50 ft. on either side of the beach access. Also, per the Town of Duck ordinance, no items will be left on the beach overnight. Items are subject to removal. • RVs, trailers, and boats are NOT permitted within the community unless they fit COMPLETELY in the garage or carport • Parking passes are required on Memorial Day-Labor Day when parking on common property. Towing Enforced • There is a vendor who rolls all trash and recycling cans out to the street and then rolls the empty cans back to the house after pick-up. (Sunday & Thursday-Roll out/ Monday & Friday-Roll back) Please advise your guests not to block access to the cans, as this is the only way to ensure trash gets emptied and does not pile up for next week's guests. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Very well appointed , very clean, comfortable beds and everything possibly needed was included and labeled! The carpeting reduced the noise level in the house and provided a softer landing for our toddlers. The shuttle trolley was awesome! Some of the furnishings are older and could be replaced, but are serviceable. The pool person left a note that she had to interrupt her service and would return to complete work shortly. That was Saturday. We called and left a message without response. On Tuesday, we contacted VRBO and by Wednesday the pool had been cleaned and prepared for use. The bedding and linens were very nice and provided well, lots of games and books and puzzles, and the pool was well used and really appreciated the extra pool toys and lounge chairs and patio accessories. We had 2 bikes to use, extra beach chairs and umbrella , and a nice big wheelbarrow for the beach to take everything to the beach. A few things that could help. 1) more towels 2) driveway is awkward. It needs to be twice as wide at the street level. Apr 19, 2024 #### Wonderful Home - Great Location Out of all the homes in OBX that we have stayed in this home was by far the cleanest. I was a little concerned about the carpet when we booked, but everything was extremely well maintained. The kitchen was very well stocked, and had a large CrockPot in addition to numerous pots and pans. The living space offered lots of room for our family to relax at night. The house is well located so that you can walk a few blocks to the community outdoor pool and beach- or a slightly longer walk into Duck. A couple of things I wish were different- the pool area is very small and felt confined at times. The house was also very loud- DO NOT stay in the bedroom on the top floor if you want to go to sleep before everyone else. You can literally hear everything going on in the living room/kitchen area. Also, there was a mild hurricane when we were there and the wind in that bedroom was VERY loud. This was the most perfect home we could have asked for during our vacation to the Outer Banks. We traveled with 4 families, 15 of us total (8 adults and 7 kids). Everything about the house accommodated our group perfectly. The kitchen/dining area fit everyone comfortably for meals, and the 8 adults could all sit on the couches in the living room to watch TV with plenty of space. The kids had their own space downstairs with a kitchenette, full fridge, TV, and foosball table. The kitchen has every dish and cooking utensil you could possibly need, including a crock pot. There are plenty of dishes and silverware for large groups, and having 2 dishwashers made clean up easy at the end of each meal. The house was incredibly clean and very comfortable with central air. We used the pool and hot tub every day, it was nice that some floats and pool noodles were provided for our use. There are also 9 beach chairs and some boogie boards for guests to use. The beach is not too far from the house, but it was very hot and humid which made it an uncomfortable walk. If you’re able, I would highly recommend renting a golf cart and/or using a rental company that will set up umbrellas and chairs for you on the beach each day. There are 2 bikes at the house, which are a great option for riding in to town. I would 100% stay here again! ##### Laura W. Close to both clubhouses& to the beach.
