A View to Remember
Your home is lovely and just as pictured. Our stay was fun and full of activities. We hiked the Cutts Island Trail in the Rachel Carson Refuge, visited Fort McLary, Fort Foster, the Portland Head Lighthouse, Portland Children’s Museum and Theatre, and an educational visit to Seacoast Science Center where we learned about different Owl species. Fantastic week and visit with our daughter’s family! Thank you for providing a wonderful home for our retreat.

Nature Oasis
Great location and home for a family. Very clean with everything you needed and more. The owner/manager was very responsive to any questions. The views of Chauncey creek from the home were great and you felt like you had the whole area to yourself. Short walk to explore the beaches and tide pools. Canoes and fishing available to guests and fun things to do with the family inside the home as well.

Wonderful stay at the house. Everything we could possibly need was there and the area was quiet and lovely, right down to the resident family of turkeys that paraded through the backyard every day. Would not hesitate to recommend and hope to return some day.

This was our second stay at the Chauncey Creek house and once again we had a wonderful time . We love the location of the property and love being able to spend time at Crescent Beach which is in close proximity to the house . The property is beautifully maintained and has everything you could want for your stay . We are hoping to stay there again next year !

A wonderful 6 day stay
My in laws, husband, and kids all stayed here for 6 days. There was plenty of room to relax, play games, and cook homemade meals every night. Outside grounds are just stunning. Our pup enjoyed the fenced in yard. This place is just perfect and secluded and we wish we could've stayed longer! The hosts were wonderful and superb communication. This was our second time staying here and already want to book next summer!

Chauncey Creek House
Beautiful location with easy access to the beach, the tidal river for kayaks or paddleboard, and biking/walking. This location is ideal. And, the house is perfectly situated to take advantage of everything. We love the quiet area. Listening to the birds from the screen porch is wonderful. We will be returning again next year for sure.

Peace,quiet and fun
This was our second stay here and was as much a pleasure as our first. The house is clean and well appointed with anything you could want. Beautiful hiking and kayaking right off the very private water front as well as fine dining near by and a fun lobster outdoor lobster pound to bring your own wine with lobster dinner served right on the water. Highly recommend this inviting home and all it has to offer,

Wonderful vacation
This is a very special location and house. It is perfect as a family or friends gathering place. The location is spectacular. The house overlooks an inlet from the sea with forest and a wealth of wildlife. It is beautiful and peaceful. The back yard is on the water with seating areas, a firepit and a table with chairs. There are also kayaks and a canoe. The house is lovely, spacious, well equipped, very clean and comfortable. We loved the views and the ease of getting into Kittery and Portsmouth. There is so much to explore in the area with easy access from the house. There were so many places to check out near by we couldn't fit them all in within our week there. The local restaurants were great and there are many shopping areas of interest. The property manager answered all our questions with kindness and efficiency. She went beyond expectations to make us comfortable and informed. We had a relaxing and restorative vacation and would love to return. I highly recommend this rare gem of a rental.

Just wonderful!
It was an absolutely wonderful week at David’s and Lucy’s Chauncey Creek House. It easily exceeded expectations. It is beautiful and private, clean, cozy, and had everything. Morning coffee at the waters edge, on the dock, or on the screened in porch, long walks to and along the beaches, kayaking in the afternoon… if not for wanting to try some new restaurants and return to familiar ones, we had no reason to leave the property. If either of us cooked, we might not have. We honestly cannot say enough good things about David’s and Lucy’s and cannot wait to return next year.

Perfect getaway
The property was wonderful, from the cleanliness of the home to the comfort of the furnishings and grounds. The views of Chauncey Creek were beautiful. We didn't get a chance to use the kayaks, but hopefully we can return next summer and enjoy that. We did most of our cooking at the house. The refrigerator had ample room for our groceries, and the gas stove and grill were great, too. The location of the property was ideal as well, with Fort Foster down the street and the outlet stores and many restaurants just a short distance away. We can't wait to come back!

The location of this rental was perfect- close to town, yet on the creek. We enjoyed watching the changing tides and appreciated the dock and rocks to fish from. The house had everything we needed for our stay, and was a great vacation rental for our family. The owners were also very responsive to a couple questions we had.

Navy Visit Spring 2022
This was perfect for my husband and me, our adult daughter and our navy son, who took the week off from Kittery base to be with us, and our dog. Walks and drives to beach daily, dining, shopping, but mostly just enjoying the view (tidal pool fascinating to this Great Lakes family). We cooked almost every dinner, and kitchen well equipped. Beds very comfortable, enough seating for everyone, and played games provided along with many card games. Being an owner of a weekly vacation rental, this one is perfectly laid out and equipped, which does take a lot of work and planning. It was a little cool our time of year to use the screened porch and deck, but we did enjoy the yard out by the water. Our dog (and we) appreciated the fenced in yard for our convenience. Couldn't ask for a better, more beautiful setting for this property. Convenient to shopping but quiet and secluded. We will be back if son stays in Kittery for another year.

Came up from Florida with my family to enjoy the cold weather and start a fire. The property was more than expected. Watched the water ebb and flow behind the house. Enjoyed listening to the ducks. The beach was amazing and different than Florida. Went on daily road trips to Portsmith, Portland and Boston. Can't wait to do it again.

Absolutely Lovely Christmas
What an absolutely lovely Christmas we spent here on Chauncey Creek. The house is comfortable and cozy (without being small), the views are stunning (we even had a touch of snow!), and the area is great for walking (our dog loved it as well). The location is also terrific — you are tucked away in nature and peace, but a grocery store with everything we needed for a full holiday meal was just 15 minutes away, and specialty shops in that same distance had treats and other items. Lucy was a great host, checking in with me before we arrived to ensure that all was well, and even leaving a few fun holiday items to incorporate into our festive table setting. Truly, a house that can be enjoyed in all seasons. We are so happy to have found it and highly recommend!

Wonderful Thanksgiving with family
This is the second time I have stayed here with my family for Thanksgiving and I love this house. It is beautiful, the view of the lake is stunning. I am a cook and love that I really don’t have to bring anything there is a fully stocked gourmet kitchen. Had a little drama my dog ran away but all worked out. I have to say dealing with Lucy is a pleasure she is very helpful. If you stay here I can promise you will love it!!!

A Perfect vacation home
The Chauncey Creek house was beautifully maintained inside and out with lovely views from all the windows. The kitchen was convenient to cook in for our group. Kayaking was perfect.My family enjoyed 2 evenings around the fire pit. Sitting on the point was a special way to start and end the day.. Hiking to Crescent Beach and Seapoint Beach was enjoyable . We spent two full days at the Chauncey Creek Cottage and I was struck by how quiet the neighborhood is. (And I live in the country and am used to a quiet environment!) The home is truly a home; it's cozy, has personality, the kitchen has everything one would need and its location is picture-perfect. I neglected to notice that cable TV wasn't listed as an amenity but Lucy was quick to not only respond to my disappointment but offered a very swift resolution. And I'm proud to say I've mastered the Apple TV swipe remote! We're grateful for the opportunity to have made the Chauncey Creek Cottage our home for a few days and enjoyed exploring Gerrish Island!

Our stay was extremely relaxing. The neighborhood was quite...only sounds were of the various birds and ducks cascading into the creek outside our windows. It was wonderful to walk thru the neighborhood and wind up down at the beach to take in the ocean breezes. We also enjoyed exploring the area by water in the kayaks the host provides.

Off the clock!
My wife and I are both business owners and live by very strict schedules. This house is in such a beautiful setting and we were lucky enough to have enjoyed our second stay at this house with our dogs. It could not be more peaceful... We've never seen our dogs more relaxed! The 4 of us would just sit at the point overlooking the water. Off the clock! 😊

Picturesque and Tranquil
We stayed at the Chauncey Creek House during our motorcycle trip from OH to Maine. Beautiful home and surrounding property! Screen porch was a great place to have coffee in the early morning. Garage space was large enough for both motorcycles, and enough room in the driveway for the additional car we rented the day it rained. Info binder was very helpful, especially on where to find the path to the beaches. The entire neighborhood is so peaceful and beautiful, we enjoyed our morning and evening walk to the beach, and all the wild turkey and deer we passed along the way (Highly recommend bug spray on your walk though, mosquitos will feast on you). Location is also ideal for day trips to Salem, Boston, Portland, and the White Mountains. Overall, this home and area is wonderful, and we'd all highly recommend Chauncey Creek House!

The walker's wonderful vacation at Kittery Point home.
The property had an authentic very comfortable country feel combined with updated appointments to make our experience completely enjoyable. The owners included a wide fenced in yard that was fantastic and convenient for our 3 year old lab to enjoy the sights and sounds of all the property offered that made it easy for us to let her in and out just like home. Everything from the bedrooms, the kitchen space to the living room were well thought out with quality furnishings having everything you can ask for. I would highly recommend this home as a relaxing and comfortable setting to enjoy your travels in southern Maine.

Piece of Paradise
The Chauncey Creek house was the perfect vacation spot for our family. For the first few days the weather didn't totally cooperate with our outdoor plans, but the views, the atmosphere and the home's amenities were so fantastic it didn't matter that we couldn't be outside. (Great time to enjoy the soaking tub, play board games, read and just relax while looking beyond the 2 beautiful white birch trees.) Once the rain stopped, we were able to enjoy fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding as well as sitting in the red chairs under the wisteria enjoying nature along with some coffee. We began and ended each day with walks to the nearby beaches. The home's proximity to Portsmouth, many interesting places on the Maine coast and great restaurants is also a bonus! We were so lucky to find this gem! Thank you, Lucy and David, for sharing your piece of paradise with us! We hope to return!

Perfect short getaway!
The Chauncey creek house was absolutely charming! It is tucked into the woods, on the beautiful Chauncey creek and the area is just so peaceful and serene, yet close to everything. Our family (husband and I, 3 teens and 2 dogs) had plenty on space and the home was absolutely beautiful. I especially loved the gorgeous soaking tub! We were able to explore Kittery, Ogonquit and Portsmouth during our 3 day stay, as well as take the kayaks, tie boat and canoe out for a spin. Lucy, the property manager, was extremely responsive with any questions we had. The dogs were very happy with the fenced in yard. We would love to return to the Chauncey Creek house in the future!
