« We didn’t actually stay, the place was a little odd, and the guests I was with were a bit uncomfortable. There were a lot of spider eggs under the furniture and my mother saw numerous bugs. The padlock the get inside was either broken or dead so we were instructed to go through the other entrance of the house which was another rental, but they kept a spare key to our unit (the basement) in the upstairs rental which kind of scared some of us. « Rey clean lovely condo with a wonderful view of the river. Sunrise was gorgeous. Bed was super comfortable. Colonial beach is my new favorite little vacation town. Very friendly people. Our host was so responsive and welcoming. Much appreciate his quick response to questions. There were a lot of steps to climb to get to the condo but that’s probably a good thing for a Bach front property. We would definitely love to stay here again. »

« Magnolia Hideaway was charming and perfect for a weekend getaway. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and entertaining, but we ate out a lot! Great location — many restaurants, music spots, and breweries within walking distance. Dan and Scott were very communicative and gave great guidance on where to go and what to see. We loved having a glass of wine on the balcony and looking at the water and shopping at their store downstairs! »

« This location and property were amazing! There was an issue with the AC the first night and the hosts responded immediately. It ended up being the battery and they came out that night to change it as soon as we asked. They were incredibly attentive and kind. The master bed and bath were gorgeous and spacious. « It was wonderful to be able to get up in the morning and walk downstairs to get a great cup of coffee to start my day (although a coffee-maker is provided in the apartment as well, so the walk down isn't necessary). Apartment was very pleasant and the parking spot convenient. The only downside is the fact that it is right across the street from the train depot...bring a pair of good earplugs and you'll be good to go. »
