We knew this booking was going to be difficult from the onset. Despite clear communications on our listing that construction was being conducted on the outside of the building, we received a series of extremely rude/threatening texts to our cell number, stating that she was not told of this work and that her review would reflect her anger. As always, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service, and bent over backwards to make her stay as enjoyable as possible. We even offered to give her a full refund before arriving only a few days in advance (not part of our official policy) but it was turned down and she accepted that she's missed the details in the description and all was good. We swapped our housekeeping around to give her the early check-in that she requested at last minute. We communicated back and forth personally and have auto messages set up to ask if all is good the day after check-in and on departure; we received no reply or concerns. We even saw her enter the property with two dogs, which she had not booked or paid for. We didn't say anything as she seemed to be having a hard time personally and wanted her to have a great stay with her kids without any further cost. The experience of hosting Jennifer overall, was not one that we'd like to repeat and in future it has taught us to cancel the booking through VRBO if we receive such offensive personal messages. Despite our best efforts, she was not appreciative and was an extremely difficult guest. All other reviews for this property and our other 14 units have been 4 or 5 stars with an average of 4.95 over 526 reviews.

We definitely see some good heat in the summer here, and with the larger units we agree a fan would be key to help circulate some of the warmer air down. As the hot tub covers age they tend to get a bit waterlogged, so we are keeping an eye out for which ones get a bit heavy and need replacing, which will aid in ease of removal/closing! We have noted the attention to detail on the housekeeping and passed this on; our housekeepers are awesome and have been concentrating on cleaning and disinfecting all surface areas during COVID. Tracy & I will add this to our checklist as we walk through units before guests arrive. Thank you for bringing this and the unfortunate cigarette butt on the hot tub deck. We wish you had called about the cutlery shortage as this could have been solve straight away; some must have gone missing during the season. We have replenished. Garth and his group were fantastic guests, although we didn't have the opportunity to meet them in person as they used our contactless check-in. Garth's communication was prompt and friendly and the group left our Mountain Home very clean. We would welcome Garth and his group back in a heartbeat!
