"We had a wonderful stay. The rooms are comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and breakfast each morning is delicious and a great start to the day. The house is well positioned - it’s an easy drive into Westport, Westport Quay, and several lovely beaches. We would most definitely stay here again!"

The first day it clearly had sat under the heat for a long time and on the second day it was only marginally better. Neither day saw a particulrly busy breakfast room. Its not a dealbreaker as everything else was amazing....and would recommend but a better breakfast experience would put the cherry on top!"

"This hotel is a gem and one of the highlights of our trip! The location is simply gorgeous, and the drive along the Sky Road to get there was particularly memorable, with incredible ocean views. The castle is beautiful and full of history. The owner does a fantastic job of sharing some of it every evening during a free get-together with drinks. The staff shows great attention to detail, high-quality standards, and an incredible culture of fun and care that we have not seen anywhere else. Brian, the owner, also made the evening stand out with an incredible dinner atmosphere followed by delightful conversations on the patio at sunset with a group of customers. It is such a unique, elegant, fun, and welcoming hotel. We will be back!"

"Upon arrival the parking is a bit narrow but definitely manageable. Checking is simple and well communicated by the hotel via email, and WhatsApp. There is no staff to welcome which was known to us so no complaints there. The rooms were cozy and clean when we arrived and good wifi as well. Bathroom was clean and in good condition. Also breakfast was no longer available but again we knew that so it did not bother us. The lodge is a 10-15 minute walk into town with a shop in between that so it's handy and avoids having to drive through Westport which can be a nightmare. Great views as well on the walk to the hotel. Checking out was very simple as well. For the price compared to every other place in Westport this place is a no brainer, it delivers on everything available, a comfy bed, a clean room and bathroom."
