Second floor means easy access to tropical gardens and the ocean beyond. Quiet location features large private view deck and renovated interior. Doesn't get any better.

Large private condominium apartment at the resort condominium complex on the beach in sunny Kihei, Maui, Hawaii. 1 bedroom with private attached bathroom. 2nd bathroom down the hall with shower, large living area, dining area, kitchen with breakfast bar. PLUS, large private view deck looking out towards ocean. Beach chairs, pool towels, full size appliances including air conditioning and washer dryer.
Really, just hit the grocery store and you are set for the week!

General Info:
The Maui Sunset is located on over 5 acres of oceanfront at Kihei which is considered one of the best locations on the Valley Isle. Kihei is noted for its year-round sunshine, balmy trade winds, and soothing evening air. It is one of the driest and sunniest areas on the entire island, averaging only 10 inches a year! World famous swimming and snorkeling beaches are minutes away at one of the many sandy safe beaches at Kihei and nearby Wailea. Just a short distance (6 miles) from five championship 18-hole resort golf courses at Wailea and Makena. The two buildings frame and protect a large recreational area that is carefully attended and landscaped. The 60-foot swimming pool with its broad decks and abundance of pool furniture invites you to improve on your tan.

Love the location and the condo was very nice. Only thing I would say that could improve our stay would be to replace the outside furniture with higher stools so you can enjoy the view rather then looking at the railing with the low seats. We look forward to coming back.

Location was great, very spacious, good amenities & good view to sunsets. The places needs to be sprayed for small insect/bugs roaming the condo. Other than this, it was very well situated in Kihei, close to beaches, shops & retail.

We just returned from staying 7 nights in this condo. We were very disappointed with appliances in the unit. The oven never worked and the bbq outside barley worked. Made for a frustrating experience especially because we choose a condo to save in food costs.

The grounds were impeccable the condos were older but in good shape watching the sunsets every night was amazing!! The place had nice amenities with pool and tennis courts along with various games. Only drawback to the room is the dishwasher broke half way through our stay but overall would definitely come back to stay!

I traveled with my husband and three kids at the end of July. The rental worked out great. It is easy to checkin even getting in late at night. There was plenty of room to accommodate all 5 of us. The condo was clean; however, don’t expect any “extras”such as tin foil or laundry detergent. We spent most of our time at the pool and some at the beach which is walking distance. The Kihei area is a great location to get around the island. Maui Sunset is our new favorite place and I would stay in the same condo again and recommend to friends/family!

Don’t stay here

I arrived evening of 12/31. The apartment smelled so bad. There was mold evident and in several areas of the condo. The frying pans had big black stains of food residue . The coffee maker still had coffee in it and was all different colors from white to blue and it looked like it had been there for weeks!! The kitchen was dirty & the sink was clogged and smelled rotten. The bathtub was dirty & water wouldn’t drain. The refrigerator was filthy. I had to reluctantly sleep in the condo the first night & left several messages the next morning to request a different condo yet no one returned my calls. As a result the lack of cleanliness of the condo forced me to make arrangements out of pocket to stay elsewhere. No one returned my call for 3 days! On January 3, I called again & finally a lady answered the phone. She said she must come to see it and the soonest she could would be 10a the following day. I waited at the apartment Jan 4th & she never showed up. Finally I got ahold of someone named Steve the manager but he and he told me he didn’t know why she hadn’t shown up & he would try to reach her. Around 3-4pm afternoon he asked if it’s ok someone will go to apartment to check. I had belongings in the apartment & was out for the day so had no choice but to agree that they could go to apartment to check. I asked him to please change my apartment but he said he couldn’t do so without a written report. Again no news from anybody. I called that evening to follow up & finally got Steve on the phone again & he stated he did not get the report yet & that he would call when he did. Meanwhile I did not hear another word from him or anyone else from the property for the remainder of my vacation nor to this day; an ENTIRE MONTH later. To add insult to injury while sick and waiting at the pool all day for some resolution, I tried to make the best of it and bought a ticket for Hana & a Luau through the activities desk at the property. The Hana company left a message at 2p the day before my scheduled trip to & said to bring a jacket on the bus because it is heavily air conditioned. I called back within the hour to cancel since I could not spend a day on an air conditioned bus with laryngitis. They said it was less than 24hrs and I would not be offered a refund. I spoke with Connie the woman who sold me the ticket, who saw how sick I was & that couldn’t even talk. She declined to help me as well. This property & the way it is managed is hell.
