  • Maalaea Surf, Unit A5 is a 2-bedroom beachfront townhouse on the second floor which offers our guest total privacy. It is located directly on the beach. This condo features everything including central AC, Wi-Fi, TV, fully furnished kitchen, 2 outdoor pools, tennis and pickleball courts, convenient parking, two BBQ areas and washer/dryers onsite.

    Enjoy ocean front outdoor living on your spacious private patio (lanai) while watching Maui's breath-taking sunsets. The beautiful beaches fronting the property offers not only spectacular views but also outstanding swimming, snorkeling and kayaking and are perfect for leisurely walks or jogging. The maximum occupancy allowed in this unit is 6. All units at Maalaea Surf are non-smoking.

    Our property is NOT impacted by the recent news regarding potential short-term rental (STR) restrictions in Maui. Because we are zoned as a hotel property, we are exempt from the County of Maui's proposed STR regulations.

The inside of our unit was updated and beautiful. The master bathroom was amazing! I was in heaven drinking my morning coffee on the patio while watching the ocean waves. I loved the location - of course that you are ocean front/ocean view...but there is a bakery, store, and a farmers market just a couple minute walk away! I want to stay here every time we come to Maui!!! I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for vacation plans in Maui!

However at the time of booking it was neglected to mention that renovations would be going on next and below our condo. It was very unfortunate that Mother Nature threw up a flood, but it would have been nice to know.The condo was very clean and well supplied with everything one would need. It is time for a update of the bathrooms.The view from the condo is fantastic! We loved our morning coffee and evening cocktails on the balcony. The was out 3rd trip to the property and won’t be our last!

Everything was close to perfect and we knew what to expect. There are only a few minor areas we would hope improve before our next visit. 1) How about soft plush Down pillows? We were reminded how flat those that were provided were... on a previous stay. 2) Fix the tv downstairs or simplify the double remote system. Not a huge problem cuz that's not why we are in Maui but still, for the price we are paying, yes, we expect the tv to function. The one upstairs works just fine. Overall, We'll probably return but it would be nice if the prices would drop for repeat visitors.

The condo was well stocked with everything we needed and the layout worked well for our family of 4 with two children. The staff was wonderful and the whole property was well maintained. Considering the conditions Kihei was in just months ago, we were very pleased that everything seemed almost back to normal. Our only complaint was a leaky shower door on the bottom level bathroom, which we reported. Overall, it was a dream stay. We can't wait to come back!

A short walk down the beach to a convenience store, bakery and shave ice stand. Immaculate resort grounds with a classic Hawaii feel and a gorgeous beach just steps away. The condo itself was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. Can't wait to come back and stay here again!
