Great location, loved sitting on the patio looking over Mt Rushmore. Food was really good also and tents were cozy. Only wish some of the other guests were respectful of noise in the evenings as the tent we had was close to others and you could hear easily.

This was by far one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. Our desk host, Alek, called when we were running late to make sure we didn't need help with directions, helped us get our luggage to our tent, start a fire to warm it up and was so so kind. Everything about our stay there was perfect from the tent to the incredible scenery!

Truly unique camping experience! The staff was lovely, we got a tour of beautiful tent lobby and a golf cart ride down to our tent

We very much enjoyed sleeping in comfort in a large and clean tent set in the rocky hills of South Dakota. The camp is very close to Mt. Rushmore and to local eateries and shops. The bed, blankets and pillows were excellent. We were quite warm and cozy even on very cool and rainy summer nights. The campsite itself was a bit small with a small sheltered area attached to the main tent, but no picnic table. (Shared picnic tables with Weber grills were a short walk away.) On the other hand, the community space that included the under canvas reception area, dining tables and a large lounge was interesting, attractive and it had a number of different board games for the kids to enjoy. Smores by the fire pits was also fun and the dinners at the Under Canvas restaurant were excellent. Breakfast at the restaurant, on the other hand, was underwhelming. The community bathrooms actually consisted of a row of private bathrooms with showers. These units were clean and had running hot and cold water and electricity. I wish all campsites had bathrooms like this. As nice as Under Canvas was, sleeping in a tent after a few rainy days left us looking forward to being back in a humidity and temperature controlled environment with direct access to a bathroom.
