It was shocking that this hotel hasn’t remodeled or up dated since it was built some 40 years ago. The tiled floors looked gross, original drapes and a small bath tub and fixtures that were difficult to manage. I would not recommend.
Beware! Looks great in photos only. The inside is dirty especially the floors. Found items under bed that was trash and feet turn black after walking on them for a short period. Sheets and towels smell like mildew. The Branding Iron food is soo expensive and not edible. Whoever is rating good is lying. That food made me sick just after taking one bite. No Flavor, over cooked/some undercooked, and pricing should be close to free. The staff was fine but nothing special. The bar inside is the only thing that I would say was good, but then again nothing special. Walls are also paper thin, and it doesn’t look like they have updated anything in 50 years . I would not recommend for the price. You should look across the street.
The staff was fantastic when I asked for a room closer to the lobby even though there was very little vacancy. I didn’t heard a sound which allowed be to have a fabulous nights sleep. The shower water was just the right temp and the pressure very good.
Some reviews have made noise about the property being old; they arent entirely wrong. But it should not be compared against some new or freshly renovated hotel. Think of this as a very well maintained antique. Everything worked well, the room was clean and spacious and well maintained, and the property was quiet. It was too nippy for the pool, but we enjoyed the hot tub. Would.stay again, no hesitation.

Room had apparently not been used in sometime. When water first turned on in shower, very rusty, and tub itself was stained. Rooms weren't carpeted, with tiles, and seemed dusty in places.
There was a dog show going on and we were advised about it on checkin, but constant barking throughout the nightwas very disturbing, and unable to sleep undisturbed through the night.
Loved the historical aspects of the hotel and the decor. The breakfast buffet was amazing and really loved all of the options. Our room was very large and the bed was really comfortable. We would definitely go back.
Very unique place to stay. The family bunk bed room was awesome and worth the extra money. Nice balcony and basic amenities. The things that could use improvement is some basic upgrades with the fixtures and furniture. The property is obviously older and could use a facelift here and there. The road is a busy one so expect lots of noisy traffic with outward facing rooms.
My family was in town for a wedding. Several of us stayed at Y O. It was nice that there was a restaurant and a bar. We enjoyed both. We had so much fun visiting in the lobby, and bar. Loved the pool table as well.
This is the most delightful place to just get away from the business of live. My wife and I enjoy the down home feel and the accessibility to all the extras available in the city.
I loved the lobby, worth the stay. Beautiful thematic decorations great for very nice pictures. Beds were very comfortable. Floor was clean but had some stains that probably had to do with age. Shower area needs to be updated in mi opinion, to be more attractive.
Not clean at all. Very dated. On a good note it was quite, beds were comfy, ac was cold and the water was hot.

There was no shower curtain so there was water everywhere. The carpet in the bunk bed room was very old, dirty, and smelly

Hello Araceli, I am so sorry you did not have a shower curtain. There is no reason for that. We will take care of the carpet. Again please know the issues are dealt with.
We did not stay!! The room was dark, old snd had a musty odor. The wall heater had a terrible smell when running. We just could not stay. Front desk staff was very nice. They offered another room, but felt the same issues would exist. Very disappointing!!

Hello Cheria,I am sorry you did not stay with us at the Y O Ranch I am sorry for the disappointment, I understand after a long day being tired and having to choose another hotel is not fun .for that I am truly sorry. I do hope you got rest that night. The heater smell has been taken care of.
Recently spent two nights at5 the YO, and found that not much has changed since my last stay there 25 years ago. The lobby, bar and restaurant retain the western character very well. The room was large and comfortable though it had a worn feel to it. Overall, it was still a conformable stay and value. Just don't expect a fresh and modern feel when you stay there.
