Carol's Cottage in the quaint Methodist Encampment neighborhood

Carol's Cottage is located in the historic and beautifully wooded Methodist Encampment neighborhood. The Light On The Hill, Methodist Ministry and Church is adjacent to the neighborhood, which hosted the first vacation homes in Kerrville, most originally owned by Methodist Ministers. While there are many activities within miles, Carol's Cottage offers a quiet respite for long walks, visits with neighbors or reading quietly in the yard while watching the deer graze.

Beautiful, cozy rental. Everything was super clean, and owner/management had thought of every detail a visitor might need. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return next year. We particularly enjoyed morning coffee sitting out on the nice back covered porch: comfy outdoor chairs and privacy of the pretty little backyard! Lovely quiet neighborhood!

Lovely cottage, terrific host, fantastic neighborhood

Carol is a premier host! We loved her cozy cottage and fenced-in back yard with a covered porch and lovely views for us and convenience for our dog. I’ve already booked a return trip and highly recommend. The neighborhood is a very special pocket of Kerrville with an artsy flair and families of deer roaming about.

Perfect

Everything about my stay was perfect. Such a beautiful setting, so peaceful. This year there were so many cardinals! Also saw a fox, lots of deer, several baby deer, and able to feed a deer. She came up to me as I was sitting on the porch and my host had graciously provided peanuts for the squirrels and deer. God’s creation always speaks to my heart so beautifully. Thank you for this wonderful place!

It was our second time staying at this home. It's a perfect place to relax and enjoy all the beautiful birds and evening visits from deer. We loved doing day trips to Fredericksburg, Luckenbach, Hunt and Ingram and coming back to Carol's Cottage for a dip in the pool. The house is so comfortable and fully stocked. The beds were perfect! We were fortunate to visit with the property owner's granddog, Hero. Will definitely stay again soon!

Great atmosphere

This was a great place to stay. Very comfortable guest house. We enjoyed sitting in the chairs under the porch. We enjoyed the hot days by the pool. We used the grill to make some great steaks. The chickens were so fun - it felt like home as we have chickens, too! We loved the blackberries growing along the fence and how fun to have the deer greet us when we first arrived. Thank you for sharing your place. It was such a nice retreat for our family.

Everything we wanted!

What a beautiful and relaxing place to stay! We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, the cool, refreshing pool, the abundance of birds and flowers and the many deer just sauntering by in the neighborhood. It was a short drive to the farmer's market, shopping, the brewery and restaurants. The entire place was very comfortable. Looking forward to visiting Kerrville again - Carol's Cottage is the perfect place to stay!

Delightful charmer

Carol has put her time, talent and affection into every square inch of this cottage. It is stylish, comfortable, functional, quiet and has numerous great antique furnishings. There is a spunky little weiner dog that lives on the other side of the fence who is always happy to greet you.
