We were back at the Hydro Majestic after some years and were delighted with the modernization of what had always been a special hotel. The view as always is magnificent and the rooms and function rooms were immaculate. Breakfast overlooking the mountains was magic!

We stayed in echo bontique for one night in Nov.
In all, it's a nice hotel with fabulous views. Beautiful decoration and furniture.
It's a bit overpriced though, considering the room is not as "luxury".

This was the first place I stayed at on my holiday that was spacious, clean, comfortable and pleasant enough for me to properly refresh myself after my day's adventures. Before I stayed here, I stayed at a hotel with a four star rating (so it wasn't like I'd been staying at low-class hostels previously!) but my time in that room wasn't relaxing at all - I was deeply missing the comfort of my own home, and fortunately found it at this lovely place! I can't recommend it highly enough - from the uncommonly spacious bathroom to the cheap laundry facilities, it has so much to love! The room is large enough to allow you to move around and engage in recreation within; the staff could not be sweeter or more helpful; the condition was top-notch; everything was immaculately clean. The little pool was - surprisingly to me - very well maintained and appealing - I've never said that about a motel pool before! Even the free selection of DVD's and board games offered at reception were in very good condition.
The only imperfection I could find this place was that even on a (cool) summer's night, cold breezes came in through the spaces around the door, so that in my sofa-bed close by, I was too cold to sleep properly! But I could solve this problem by putting the spare fuzzy blanket underneath the duvet and directly over me (it was on top of the duvet before) and turning on the heating, so it's only something you need to be aware of.
I'll be back here for sure!
The small artistic town of Katoomba glows in its quirk, and is only a stone's throw from the famous Echo Point, which offers a stellar view of the mountainous horizon and the famous rock formation known as the Three Sisters. Affluent neighboring town Leura provides picturesque English-style gardens, which thrive during the Leura Garden Festival every October.
