"This cabin is more worn down than it appears in the pictures. A lot of the furniture was worn and torn or broken. The recliner that another review mentioned has definitely not been fixed. Master bed was missing pillows. All blinds in the home were broken and basement rooms didn’t have any light coverings at all. Doors are hard to close and lock. No bath mat in downstairs bathroom. The kitchen has lots of gadgets and anything you could need, if you can find them. The kitchen is so unorganized it’s painful. There was lots of dust and cobwebs. There was no broom and the vacuum did not work well or rather at all. We had to replace multiple light bulbs and even fixed a broken shower. The decks and stairs were not cleared off which made access to the lake difficult. We were using the lake for ice fishing and not having the stairs accessible to use was difficult. If you plan to snowmobile from this home, be advised that there isn’t great parking and fitting anymore than 2 sleds and your trailer won’t happen. Trail access is a 2.5 mile road ride away.We did enjoy the views and the wildlife. Lots of deer and eagles. We made many good meals using the crock pot and the danish waffle maker. Nice clean and accessible laundry room. Overall we enjoyed our stay but the price is outrageous for a worn down cabin. I guess that’s Vilas County prices for ya. "

"We loved the large space. Everyone had their own area to escape to. The home could definitely use a very deep clean. Very close to the trail for snowmobiling, but the driveway is angled which makes for difficult parking/reversing. LOTS of stairs... fine for us, but not great for babies or elderly. Beds were very comfortable."

"Overall disappointed with our stay.Communication was poor with the host. We had emailed them five days prior to our stay to see if we could reschedule due to dangerously bitter cold temps setting in. Three days later, we received a response stating our cancellation deadline was over thus they would not offer any type of refund, but did not address if we could reschedule for a different date due to the weather. Also, we had inquired on using the garage due to temps falling below -30. Host never did respond to that question.Dishes in cupboard were filthy.When using the dishwasher, water was leaking out onto kitchen floor.Overall, the temperature in the house was not maintained at a comfortable level. We were very uncomfortable sitting in the living room upstairs and we’re not able to turn the furnace high enough to be warm. With two of the bedrooms, located in the lower level, some of the guests used the bedroom downstairs. But we were not able to get the temperature above 55, which of course was very uncomfortable, especially given the extreme cold.We did let the host know about the temperature in the house, but never heard back. Carpeting needed replacing-very dirty and worn in places.The home did have lovely views!Driveway was well cleared when we arrived. Overall, the house was neat/organized. Unfortunately, due to bitter cold temps, the house not being able to maintain comfortable temps and poor communication with the host, we would not recommend."

"Place was clean and prepared well. Had a few issues though. Living room fireplace wasn't working, ice making in fridge not working, dead bolts on patio doors won't work and upstairs tv was disconnected otherwise the stay was wonderful at a very beautiful place at a great location. "
