You'll find the local shop, a guesthouse, and the community hall here. The main road through the village, Fv351, follows the coastline, making it easy to navigate.

Couples looking for a peaceful escape will appreciate staying in the village centre. It offers easy access to coastal walks, opportunities to observe local fishing life, and the chance to experience the midnight sun or northern lights from a tranquil setting. The focus here is on the natural surroundings and the calm pace of life.

For those interested in fishing, staying by the harbour is ideal. Many local accommodations cater to fishing enthusiasts, often providing access to boats or guides.

The best time to go to Kårhamn depends on whether you're seeking the Midnight Sun or the Northern Lights.

For those keen to experience the Midnight Sun, the period from late May to late July offers continuous daylight. This is an excellent time for outdoor activities like hiking along the coastal paths, sea kayaking, or fishing under the perpetual daylight. The longer days mean more time to explore the dramatic landscapes and observe the local wildlife.

If your primary interest is the Northern Lights, the optimal viewing season runs from September to March. During these months, the nights are long and dark, providing the best conditions to witness the aurora borealis dancing across the sky.
