It is a bright and modern hotel. Family Mart on ground level is great! The only downside is that the intersection is loud, so it might wake you up early.

Friendly staff were very helpful.
Onsen facility was clean and well managed.
My room was standard-grade, but pretty huge and could enjoy in-suite bath while watching stars.

We had a great time at the hotel. It is very quiet and the location is amazing. We really enjoyed the buffet dinner and breakfast and the onsen was a great way to start and end the day! Our room was spacious (twin beds) with a great view of the mountain. We will definitely come back if we ever come back in the area. We even considered extending our stay but couldn’t because of other plans. Highly recommended for a relaxing time.

Great location with good room sizes. Only down side is no food on premise but they have microwaves, ovens/toasters, free coffee and tea and a big lounge/eating area. Parking is free but does fill up by the evening so be mindful of that if planning on arriving late.

Great value. Beautiful facility. Good service. Buffet dinner and breakfast were especially enjoyable. Variety of onsens on site. They even have a rooftop telescope for stargazing.
Only con was the Japanese rooms do not have any shower or tub. Nowhere to take a shower in your room. You must go to the onsen and be naked in front of others to bathe. I'm not sure where one would go if they were uncomfortable with that.

It is relaxing to stay at this ryokan, the food is so delicious, private onsen, warm welcome from the host, nice surrounding etc etc... It is the highlight of my entire trip.
The ryokan made me feel like paradise. You also got pick up from the Yunohira station.

Wonderful onsen hotel. Some commented the hotel is "dated", thats most likely comparing to hotel in the city which is not fair comparison. For a hotel up in the mountains, this is a great hotel with spacious room. Private onsen for family is barely 2000 yen extra or 1 hour which is very cheap. Dinner buffet is great, not the best because a lot of touristsg group which kind of rush the kitchen to rush food out. But breakfast is wonderful and more enjoyable for sure.
I would definitely stay...
