Sandstone Stargazing was designed with you in mind! This 3 bed/1 bath cheerful, inviting house is the perfect home for your Southern Utah vacation. Enjoy morning coffee out front under the mulberry tree and don't be surprised if you see the neighborhood deer pass by. The Space: The perfect spot for your base camp as you explore Southern Utah! Living room - Two sofas, chairs, Smart TV. Kitchen - Fully stocked, modern appliances, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, blender, baking dish, cookie sheets, pots and pans. Dining table with seating for six. Washer & Dryer - Full-size, located off the kitchen. Bedroom 1 - Queen bed, Smart TV, chair, nightstands, closet, outside access to back deck. Bedroom 2 - Queen bed, chair, nightstand, workstation, vanity, closet. Bedroom 3 - Twin bunk beds, desk, bean bag, closet. Bathroom - Full bathroom with spacious shower. The Neighborhood: Sandstone Stargazing is located in the Kanab Creek Ranchos, a very family-friendly neighborhood nestled against the hills surrounding Kanab. It's a short drive to Ranchos Park, which has a playground and plenty of space to relax and play your favorite games in the large, open, grassy space. The park also includes a walking trail - perfect for going on a stroll with your loved ones and pets! There's plenty to do with state and national parks nearby, but if you're looking for something more low-key for a day or two, consider the local hikes featured on the flyers in our house book: Squaw, Bunting and K-hill, all offering wonderful views. As well, Jacob Hamblin park has a playground, field, pool with slides, splash pad, and tennis/pickleball courts; Kanab City Library is nearby and often has books for sale; Ranchos Park has great baseball fields; Best Friends Animal Sanctuary has great guided tours (they welcome donations). Also consider the local restaurants, bakeries, and ice cream shops. Getting Around: This home has convenient access to Hwy 89A/89 which takes you to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Zion and Bryce National Parks, Lake Powell, as well as the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Here in southern Utah a vehicle is required to get around in town and beyond. We recommend a 4WD vehicle with high clearance if you intend to go off-road to out of the way places. Page, AZ airport is 1 hour away; St. George, UT airport is 1.5 hours away; Las Vegas airport is 3 hours away. The location was great for making day trips to Zion and Bryce, and for doing local stuff like the Bunting Trail and Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. We really wish we would have spent more time in the Kanab area. The house was super clean and had everything we needed for cooking and for making any down time relaxing and enjoyable! Beds were all very comfortable, and I'm glad it had a desk in one of the bedrooms, as it helped to made working remotely easy. We appreciated the washer and dryer and the large yard.Would be a great house for two families or a large group traveling together, if you rented the main and the lower floors together.
