Best place to watch the sunrise while having breakfast
This was just the perfect place for our little family holiday. Close to the beach, even our 2.5 year old walked to and from the beach. The playground is just down the road and our four legged family member was allowed to come too. We definitely will be back. Thank you for sharing your little paradise!

Lovely location!
Pros: Beautiful spot. Plenty of places to walk & explore Clean and comfy. Most things needed included in the property & more. Loved the sunroom. Kitchen and bath/laundry Cons: byo bed linen and towels. Needs to be made obvious before booking. Other than bath and kitchen, rest of the house is a bit tired. Overall though - a pleasant stay.

Lovely spot for a family holiday

First time holiday in the area.
Beaut location: that first cup of coffee overlooking the coast line plus sea scape with the sun streaming into the conservatory will be a treasured memory. Our two 'boys' were secure and had plenty of space to run around - hope no surprise packages on the garden that we missed. Very comfortable with all the comforts of home. We hope to come again.

Great house
Lovely house, easy to find in the dark and access the property and house. We were away doing an adventure race so only saw the amazing view of the sea on our last morning. Very relaxing to nurture a coffee and sore muscles. My family could not come with me due to child sickness, and I would love them to come back and enjoy this lovely house and Kakanui. First time to Kakanui and this is a lovely Bach to stay in. Clean, bright but also cosy with a wood fire. Across from the beach area so great location. Short drive from Oamaru which was great for day exploring and restaurants.

Fabulous location looking out over the sea, and with great dog-walking The fire kept the place warm and there was lots of wood and kindling. The grounds are not dog-proof, so if you have an enthusiastic escapee like I do, vigilance is required. Im very grateful we could take dogs to such a lovely place.

A little slice of paradise!
Homely and comfortable. Pet friendly and well fenced which makes a nice change. Toasty warm with 2 heating options. Would have liked to have use of the dryer as stated available on website but could not access locked garage. However would recommend to others

Great stay in Kakanui
The house was well positioned with lots of sun during the day and a great view. The rooms are nicely renovated, and kitchen is well supplied with everything you need. Very warm too, with both a wood burner and heat pump available. Only possible improvements would be to have a small heater for the bathroom, and brighter lighting for the dining area. But otherwise, loved our stay. We’ve used several baches in Kakanui, and would definitely stay here again.

Spectacular sunrise & beaches
Bach was very clean modern and fresh . Best ever bed it was so comfortable **** Amazing view out to sea and spectacular sunrise . Our border terriers had a ball running around the property. However they escaped through the gap at the side of the gate.They are known as escape artists looking for adventures but we caught them about 4 doors up the street after asking a friendly local who was walking his dog. Beautiful beaches to run the dogs and Campbell's beach popular with the surfers. . We had a great overnight stay, but would love to stay longer next time

We had a friends getaway here and loved the location right beside the beach. Kakanui is a lovely sleepy little town but close to Moeraki and Oamaru for day trips. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again

The view is awesome. The house is really Beutiful and comfortable but was little disappointed. We had 1 towel between 5 people. There were no sheets on the bed only blankets. I took photos of the beds. That was a little disappointing.

In the heart of Gig Harbor
This stay was an absolute must for anyone wanting to experience Gig Harbor. Walking distance from everything you need, the best views, and can warm up by the fire. The house was a wonderful spot to relax between adventures, could stop by the market to have meals there in a dream kitchen, and the host was extremely responsive and a good communicator. Can’t recommend enough!
