We got an email from the Silverbow about a week prior to our trip to let us know that the room we booked, a king superior room, had been "overbooked" and was no longer available. They offered a queen superior as a replacement at a reduced cost. I wrote back to say how surprised I was, since we had booked back in February for an August stay. The manager wrote back again and said they had managed to free up one of the king superiors, so we were excited to stay there rather than switching hotels last minute. We arrive and found that our King Superior, was on the bottom floor, next to kitchen, behind the bar area, with a view of the alleyway. When we complained to the manager, she again offered the queen room, which we explained we didn't want for the price they were charging. We looked online and found a king bed in nearby hotel, and asked for a refund. She replied it was too late for a refund. In the end, after much argument and showing her the description of the room that I had booked online as compared to what they were providing, which wasn't even close, she agreed to refund the room. I believe what happened is that the Silverbow gave our room to someone who was staying longer, which is really unfair practice, then tried to sell us a far inferior room for the same rate. Based on this experience, I would not recommend the Silverbow.
