It was like stepping into a hotel that just opened in 1999 - just felt so outdated, old carpet, wallpaper in the rooms, not sure why it would not be updated at this point. Felt old and dingy. Will never stay here again.

The room air conditioning did not work properly, but it was too late to call when we noticed. Also, the bed sheets and pillows were not soft on the bed and the pull-out couch bed was horrible to sleep on. The living room and restroom were very clean thankfully.

Our casita was dirty. Needed vacuuming. The furniture was dirty. The couch/bed in the living room was horrible. Felt like it was broken. Uncomfortable to sit in and absolutely could not sleep on. I ended up sleeping on the floor on a foam pad that the staff was kind enough to bring. I spent a lot of money to sleep on the floor. Staff was great!

The AC did not work well. At least they had it set for high temps above 78 during the day. Starting at 8pm it would cool down to 74, but if the door opened to the room the temp would go up. They said it was to keep costs low. Bed was uncomfortable. And there was no plant based ,ilk available so if you are lactose intolerant or plant based you are screwed. Would not stay here again.

It was a decent hotel, but we were expecting a bit more for our money; welcome to California. There were just some glitchy things like no exhaust fan in the bathroom, outdated telephone in the room (was actually replaced during our stay), no information on dining options in the area or things to do. They did have a scanable qr code for services, etc. but more info in paper form would have been handy.

Horel was great, we stayed one night for a baseball tournament, and it was all we needed. Breakfast was great, room was nice, clean and comfy. Everyone was very happy.

Facilities were great, room was clean and the breakfast was very good. The only thing I didn't appreciate was the charge for 2 bottles of water upon our arrival. There was no mention of $6 charge / bottle of water. We used the two provided and the next day two more showed up, so we were charged for 4 waters. It was a bit deceiving because when they brought more waters they had a sticker on them that said $6 charge per use. I wish they would have put stickers on the waters on the first day. Another issue was the pool. The staff said the pool was heated to 80 degrees, but it was absolutely freezing. I realize not many people use the pool in the winter, but the water was way too cold for swimming. Overall we had a good stay, I would stay here again.
