It felt private, walking distance to the park entrance, adorable entertainment amenities like a record player and fun nostalgic games, bed was RIDICULOUSLY comfortable, and of course the hot tub was clean and cozy. Thank you to the hosts who really dotted their I's and crossed their T's with the details here. We stayed for a week and didn't run low on anything and had tons of entertainment inside for when the weather was bad. Oh, and we saw coyotes in the backyard! Proximity to the park entrance could not be more convenient, being less than half a mile from the entrance. It gives you the feel of camping in the park except with the convenience of a bed, shower, hot tub and small kitchen. The backyard looks on to another property but it is far enough away they it feels private. The kitchen had the basics, but no food storage options if you have leftovers so bring containers with you if you plan on cooking. Two things I wish were different: the hot water really only got got luke warm at best. We visited in th winter so showers were quite cold. I also wish that there was a broom around. Photos don't do it justice – they don't reveal the jaw-dropping views visible from every window, nor do they capture how perfectly the property is designed to take advantage of the stunning location. The view down the valley from the deck and hot tub (a key amenity!) is breathtaking. The tasteful decor captures a desert vibe without the least hint of kitsch. It looks rustic on the outside but the furnishings inside are high end, urban industrial chic. So many amenities - huge Jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor showers, a great deck to watch the stars.
