« My sister and I had a great time staying in the cozy cabin. We enjoyed morning coffee on the front porch listening to the trees sway and the geese honking. We had our evening cocktails by the fire pit, looking at the stars and listening to the cicada or crickets. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. This place had everything that we needed to use as a base camp as we explored the thrift shops in Carbondale, the antique stores in Carterville, and hiking at Giant City State Park. »

« Hot tub was clean. We did scoop out stuff daily to keep it cleaner. Kitchen is set up nicely. Everything you would need in it, (except a casserole dish, LOL) Bedrooms are awesome and I love the bathrooms. Outside patio is so relaxing. Love the little gas fire pit. « Although there were other properties close it was a very quiet, peaceful area. There was plenty of space for the 4 adults we had. The host was always quick to respond to any questions or requests.
